Dylan's catalogue of music is incredible. A Lyric Master. Bettey LaVette's recording of this is excellent. She's got an incredible voice. Dylan's version is awesome too wish they'd get together & sing it. Btw, I can relate on the gettin older. Time waits for no one. No matter who there's no one getting any younger no matter what they do.

I can't believe I'm admitting this but Bettye LaVette is the second soul singer I was introduced to listening to Tom Petty radio.

I don't know- how many different versions of this track, ( done by Bettye)- that I have watched and listened to. Her voice- and stage presence, is outstanding! (And her back-up musicians, are all of the very best!) Hopefully- I will get to see her perform, LIVE!

Keep rocking on Betty do more of Christian era music from saved slow train coming and shot of love darling!

See if you can find from an Israeli record store an unauthorized album of Hebrew adaptations of Dylan's most challenging songs by an artist named Noam Faust and his Israeli band Proyect Ha'Gummiyah (which translates as The Rubber Band Project). Next to Joan Osborne's own cover on her RELISH album that turned her into a star, but a deep track on that album of hits is a very spooky production of "Man In The Long Black Coast", the Hebrew version by Noam Faust & Proyect HaGummiyah is creepiest of all.
