I remember seeing Betty on ITAS. James Lipton asked her what she hoped God would say when she arrived at the pearly gates. She responded, "Come on in, Betty; here's Allen." Nearly brought tears to my eyes; absolutely adorable. :)

It's been 30 years since Allen Ludden passed away. He must be proud of her success since then (being on The Golden Girls, hosting Saturday Night Live, and so forth)

Aw how beautiful and romantically humorous. A wise directer would make a movie about that, and it would make millions.

She's a real darling. Before coming here I watched them both on their WML appearance just after they'd married. They looked idyllically happy. She hasn't remarried since Allen's death in 1981 and I can understand why. He was the love of her life and she of his.

She has to have a movie made! Sounds like the ideal Romantic Dramedy to watch!

my heart is breaking while watching this...

I just watched this after watching The Odd Couple episode "Password" on here. Mr. Randall, Mr. Klugman, and Mr. Luden will be missed. Betty's still rocking though. :)

I had no idea (just learned) that was her third marriage.
