When she played Jeannie on 'I Dream of Jeannie,' she broke the mold. There could never be another, who can play that role as superbly as Mrs. Eden, did.

Barbara Eden has always been beautiful. She has even aged gracefully beautiful. This is someone who has not been addicted, or tried to look younger or gone overboard on cosmetic procedures. She will always be the beloved Jeannie🧿

She’s truly ageless I met her in 1975 she was touring with Bob Hope She had this glow around her like an angel 😇 I was so in awe of her and she was exactly how you can imagine She was authentic kind and sweet and when she spoke to you she meant every word

Miss Eden was essentially just starting out in Hollywood in the late 50s and was able to land a role on "I Love Lucy" in an episode called "The Country Club Dance". She admitted that coming to Hollywood she had very low self-esteem but after being in this episode Lucille Ball took her aside and told her that she was wonderful and talented and encouraged her to keep working hard. She said this compliment and the encouragement made all the difference in her outlook and career.

What kind of person was she? Was she nice and down to earth.

Truly a class act. Saw Barbara in Nite Club Confidential with Gary Sandy in the 90's. She has a fantastic singing voice live and really knows how to connect with the audience.

Barbara Eden was "THAT " girl back in the day. The Andy Griffith episode where she worked at the Barbershop as a manicurist showed me just how beautiful she was. This is a pretty lady.

I had the privilege of seeing Barbara Eden and Soupy Sales together, at the John Wayne theater at Knott's Berry Farm. I was serving in the US Marine Corps at the time, and stationed at MCAS El Toro, Santa Ana. The two of them put on a very good show and I enjoyed it very much. Barbara's beauty is timeless.

My cousin was stationed in El Toro. They lived in base housing and we lived in Anaheim! Drove that route more times than I can count. I worked in Irvine for a long time. Many moons ago.

This interview is from 2000. 24 yrs ago. But she still has undying beauty to this day. Such a charming woman. ❤️

She started touring in Love Letters in late 2006 which she mentions in the interview so could not have been 2000. Another comment cites the year 2008.

What a wonderful person. So glad she has had such a fruitful and enjoyable life.

Still gorgeous and beautiful after all those years.

In the interview, Miss Eden refers to the play "Love Letters" with Hal Linden. Amazingly, they were still touring in the play in 2019 when they were both 88! They were born the same year -- 1931. This interview was conducted when she was in her mid-70's.

Its hard to believe that Barbara Eden is currently 90 plus. Her's was a life that was well lived, that's why the ravages of time don't show on her face. She's had some profound losses in her time, like the untimely death of her only son. Still she rose like the phoenix and soldiered on to a great career that has made her a legend of her time. While fans the world over love her as Jeanne, I'm still a huge fan of her portrayal as Loco Jones in the hit TV series "How to marry a millionaire" [1958-60] in which she starred with Lori Nelson, Merry Anders and Lisa Gaye.

When we first got to Canada, and after about a month or so, we got our first TV. First show we saw come on was I Dream of Jeanie! 😲❤️. Never seen such a beautiful woman in my life! (All of 3yrs old. 😂). Barbara has aged like fine wine. 👏🏻❤️

I remember her on Andy Griffith,she moved to Mayberry and was a manicurist at Floyd’s barbershop for one show 😂

I don't know who her surgeon was if she had surgery at all, he was phenomenal. She still is naturally beautiful.

if shes had any work done...the surgeon deserves a raise!

Really nice woman whom i had the good fortune of waiting on at a tennis shoppe in Chicago back in the late 70's, between college semesters. Somehow, we decided to have coffee at a corner diner on the Mag Mile, and as we were walking to the diner, 2 guys literally came running across Michigan Ave., against traffic, to offer to escort us...actually HER ,across the street. Michigan ave is quite wide with alot of foot and road traffic. How they spotted her thru the congestion could have only been her aura. She glowed! I remember what she was wearing, denim head to toe. Very attractive, pretty,petite figure and so,so personable. She was very comfortable to wait on and have coffee with despite her fame. I believe she was scheduled to appear in London that fall and i was going over there for a semester so maybe this is what prompted the coffee thing. It was a nice encounter. Memorable.

We still have Jeannie & Captain Kirk lol.
