I was really hoping she would make it to her 100th birthday, but 99 is still really impressive for a woman who walks on her own two feet and not senile. I hope she had no worries when she passed. She will always be a legend and icon.

Betty was everyone's sister, mother and grandmother. She fit right in with everyone. We were all blessed to have her for so long.

This gives me CHILLS. I was literally talking with a coworker yesterday who said that Betty White turns 100 very soon to which I replied "I know, let's hope she makes it" and now the very next day I go on KZread and find out she passed away. Unbelievable. Rest in Peace Betty you will be missed!!

My sister were just reading an article with her in it and talking about her turning 100 soon, only an hour ago! And now she is dead. 🤯 I can't believe it!

I feel like I lost my grandma… 🥲 such heartbreaking news. She was such a light in this often dark world. What a woman, she paced the way for so many female comedians and we are better people for having had her around as long as we did. Fly high Miss Betty, thank you for being a friend ♥️

When I heard the news, it was like my grandmother passed away. I grew up watching her on tv. Rest in Peace, Betty White. A true icon and legend. Thank you for being a friend.

My Nana and I used to watch Golden Girls every Sunday and we would laugh so much! I feel like I’ve lost a apart of my Nana now that Betty has gone! A true legend. I’m so sad xxx

I Met Betty White in '93, she was the MOST SWEETEST Person, I have EVER Met!!! She is a National TREASURE!!! xoxoxoxo

She was at the L.A. zoo back in 1975 presenting miniature ponies to Griffith Park. I asked if she would let me take a photo of her with my 5 year old daughter to which she said, "of course" and she held my daughter up in her arms next to the ponies for a good five minutes. It was a thrill for my daughter Trace and myself. We will miss her beautiful spirit.

R.I.P Betty White. How sad, my heart goes out to her friends and family.

Now that's what a great life looks like. She was greatly love and surly missed.

I guess I just thought she would be here forever. She was so loved and will be missed beyond measure. RIP lovely lady.

I grew up with her in my childhood she was th 70s queen.

My maternal grandmother loved her show Golden Girls. She’s passed away herself back in 2013 at age 93, but she knew well who Betty White was. Caught reruns of her show when I was little in the 90s. Used to watch it with my grandma. Respect to a fine woman with wit to boot! Betty is now happily reunited with her Golden Girls cast, Ed Asner, and Mary Tyler Moore up there… 🙏

My grandmother and I used watch the Golden Girls together. Sadly she passed away at age 75 in 2003. I have no doubt that she greeted Betty at the Golden gates as a friend and sister. Thanks for the memories. 💜🌹🕊️

She was such a sweet, funny, caring, and genuine hearted soul. Betty, thanks for all the great memories you left behind us, you’ll be dearly missed.

When I heard the news yesterday morning that Betty White died, I felt my heart stop. She was the kind of person that I think everyone in the world loved, as if she was everyone's loving grandmother. No matter what she was on, what she did, or whatever she said, it was always bound to be epic. I should've seen this news coming, but the fact that it happened smack dab at the end of 2021 and about 2 weeks before she would've turned 100 felt like a huge stab in the heart. Nevertheless, she has left behind such an incredible and extraordinary legacy and has contributed so much to our world throughout her long and successful life and career. "Legend" isn't enough to describe the kind of person Betty was. But things won't be the same without her and we will all miss her dearly. Heaven has gained yet another Golden Girl.

Feels like losing a family member.. thank you for being a friend 🌹

This is a big loss for Americans yet, her life inspired many to persevere when pursuing a dream. May she Rest In Peace.

Rest in peace. It's sad that she had to pass, but no one can live forever.

My heart broken 💔😞 right now last of the Golden Girls passed away thank you Betty White for being a friend you'll be missed 😢.

She knew she'd already got us through the hardest two years in a century and figured it was time to go home. Guess this means things are getting better. Thanks for waiting, Betty.

Boy, wouldn't it be grrrr8 if this were truly the reason she passed today!?!? Actually, good a reason as any for such a wonderful human! Sooooo Halleluuujah!!

Oh dear, I’m so sorry and deeply saddened to hear that. At age 99 she obviously couldn’t go on for ever, but she has been with us most of our lives on the screen and tv, that we all feel we know her like a friend or family member. Still beautiful at this age, looking back she was absolutely gorgeous! And had such a beautiful singing voice! Shame we were not shown more of her work back then, she was accomplished from a very young age. Never a swear word, smuts or things like that she showed young upcoming actors what could be achieved by clean acting, and we are all going to miss the multi talented lady very much. One consolation is that she will be reunited with the love of her life again, so we must be happy for that. Godbless you Betty, you were loved more than you knew. 😘🙋‍♀️💕💐XXX

Loved her as Rose Nylund on the GOLDEN GIRLS , and other sitcoms she starred in . My mom loved the shows she was in , and my daughter thought highly of Betty White . We all loved her and the rest of the stars she worked with . RIP BETTY WHITE . 🙏😢💔

Oh I'm so extremely heartbroken. I loved everything about her and everything she was in. Undoubtedly one of the most loved and funny women in film and television. This world will never be the same. I cried after hearing her passing. I never knew her yet she showed her true self both on screen and in person. I think this is why we miss her. She was a real person- a good person.

Such a loss. I like many I suspect got lulled in to the belief she would live forever. It doesn't seem real that she's gone. Thank you Betty for being a friend. You will be missed.

She is going to be so missed. What sad news to hear on new year's eve.

She was a awesome lady. I loved watching her on the Golden Girls with my grandmother. There will not be another little her . She was one in a million.

I used to love watching Golden Girls with my Grandma, best memories I have from my childhood. RIP Betty, thanks for the laughs💔

When the Golden Girls song came on at the end. I got extremely sad. I was just thinking about her the other day. She was a remarkable person ❤❤
