BETTER than Tilta Nulceus Nano? Accsoon F-C01 Follow Focus
This was a very interesting test to see what the differences are between the tilta nucleus nano and the Accsoon F-C01 follow focus system.
There are certain features that are great and are well thought out. For a follow focus system with small crews this will be a very good choice. It has exceptional build quality, is very accurate in focus pulling, wireless connection seems to be quite solid and is relatively priced well against the competitors.
For a solo shooter it really depends how comfortable having a focus motor this size and shape on your camera rig set up. I personally prefer a side handle focus.

Nice review mate. I have the Tilta Nucleus Nano with the newer side handle for awhile now and only recently purchased the controller wheel. I am also a big fan of Accsoon and initially looked at this product but I saw another review complain about two main drawbacks (or better to say dealbreakers for some)…one is the lack of a marker wheel to put focus points. The other is the battery door which is magnetic and feels plastic/flimsy compared to the more rugged design on the Tilta. The screen is a winner though compared to the ultra dim lcd on the Tilta. Anyways, keep up the good work.

these are very valid complaints. First ACs do like to use a marker for focus points that's for sure. Yes, the whole design is super solid except for the door.
6:48 !! This is what i was looking for! Thank you. Just incase anyone was looking to see how bright the screen is on the focus wheel compared to the tilta nucleus nano, it's at 6:48 • The nano is good, but man that screen is really useless when you're outside.
Thanks for this review! There's any option to set time between point A and B? For example I'd like to make a timelapse and i want to set a time for begin the A point and a time to go further to the B in 20 30 40 minutes or so? Thanks
Thanks for the review! A bit too dramatic about the Tilta N change of direction in the wheel! Two double clicks and one more clic, that's all, less than 5 seconds, honestly! It's true that the Tilta monitor is somehow ridiculously small, but, in my experience, I never find myself looking at it, a part from a quick check when I am calibrating the lens. There would be no reason to look at it during the shooting, there are no distances displayed in the monitor as it would be for a Hi-5 or a C-motion controller. I tried some "cool" cheap new wireless follow focus in the wake of enthusiastic videos on youtube, and by far the most reliable one has definitely been Tilta, it never gave me problems (and I own three of them), contrarily to the rest. Some of the rest were really miserable (Came-Tv, cough, cough). I will not be a guinea pig anymore. If this is going to be a viable option, it would be great, the little monitor seem really nice however, only time will say if it breaks after a bit, or if it holds. I hope it holds!
Anyone actually used these wireless focuses? I wonder which one has best sensitivity and latency for pl mount lenses (they are a bit harder and heavier)
Awesome review. Did you try updating the firmware? Manual states to download the app and go from there but the model is not even mentioned in the app menu....Any idea? Thanks
What if my lenses don't have hard stops? Could you spin the motor in one direction indefinitely? Meaning beyond 0 or 100%.
