Have you tried this technique? It's pretty cool 😎
I like using sandpaper instead of the knife you get a finer dusting of the pigment, for much finer affect

This is a great idea. However, some of the shavings look a bit odd and elongated. Wish there was a way to prevent that. Maybe do it in a dish and mince them finely?

You can use a tea strainer or fine spice grater if you want a different look. I personally like the different shapes it makes, but I know what you mean :-)

Maybe shave them first into a container and break up a bit to the size you prefer and sprinkle from high up?

Use a fine grit sandpaper!! Getting much finer bits of the pigment! For a much finer affect
