    Thanks for keeping the guitar sound clean. It drives me nuts when some instructors (for some reason they usually have long stringy hair) play with high gain or some type of distortion. It’s much easier to hear and understand the concepts with a clean guitar sound.

    Well TBF to yourself, this is basically a pattern/box from a very specific niche of Blues called "Chicago Blues", & it's not very popular, even in the US, so it's understandable you're unfamiliar. Whatever helps you navigate the fretboard better is a positive tho! I didn't get much from this because I'm already familiar w/how to mix the major/minor/blues scales, & while this isn't an actual scale or mode or anything, it's whatever turns a light on for your personal understanding of the fretboard that counts. Congrats & enjoy|!

  • @JeighNeither

    @JeighNeither

    Well, this isn't a scale. He's just showing you how to visualize the interchanges of the Major/Minor/Blues scales. You still want to learn all three of those scales, in every position. If it's CAGED you're learning, learn all those shapes, or if you're learning them as pentatonic positions (same thing as CAGED) learn them that way, but learn them also in multiple keys (focus on common blues keys if that's your thing) and then move on to arpeggios, & that will really open up a bag of tricks for you. Arpeggios are magical. Good luck!
