Better late than never- planting the garden

Even if you're one of those people who are super late to the game when it comes to planting, it's ok. Things will still grow. Granted, we won't have a harvest of beans or tomatoes or potatoes when everyone else does, but so be it. It's better to plant late than to not plant at all.
I don't know about you, but where I live, more people grow a garden than don't grow a garden. As I drive everywhere, I've seen tomato plants as tall as my knee (I'm short, but that's still like 2 feet tall), peas, cabbage, etc., and I was told I should have had my taters in the ground by Good Friday (Thanks BOB!). Talk about pressure!!!!
Here's what I'm doing, even though it's late.
- Potatoes
- Sweet Potatoes
- Hot peppers
- Sweet peppers (though not a lot)
- Tomatoes
- Pole beans
- Bush beans
- Shallots
- Garlic (planted in the fall)
- Various melons
- Medicinal plants
- Mustard greens
- Herbs/flowers
- Chard (not in yet)
- Green onion (not in yet)
- Beets (not in yet)
