So nice of Hector to let Nolan take the drumstick to go.
Hector probably doesn't intend to harm any of the customers. He's probably thinking he may as well damage Gus' reputation as a restaurant owner while he's waiting for Gus. So by letting these people go, they spread the word that Los Pollos has something sketchy going on behind the scenes.
I love how when Hector walked up to that old couple, he didn't intimidate or scare them, he simply just asked: "I'm sorry, what did you say?" Goes to show that he has some form of respect for the elderly. Of course we knew this since he wanted Tuco to think the same.

Hector trying to remember how to interact with normal people
There's a deep sadness to the way Hector says "Good afternoon, Señorita" at 0:29. He takes a sigh of futility, like he's remembering all the times he said it as a young man to girls who might actually want to talk to him. I feel like he was earnestly indulging in nostalgia for that when he tried to talk to her, and to the teenage girls about fried pigtail - he's not sneering at them or *trying* to mess with them, but still painfully knows he's an old man who just makes them uncomfortable. We also don't know if Hector was ever a charmer like Lalo in his youth, or if he's always gone through life having to threaten and intimidate people into tolerating him, and resenting everyone for it. Yet, if the Hector of a few years later were somehow restored to the level of youth and mobility he has here, he'd be elated.

It was way too long
2:45 This is the moment Nolan Miller became Pollos Hermanos
That sucks. You have a decent small scene, you're excited, told your friends to watch, and then it was cut.
Hector just wanted to maintain the Los Pollos ' standart and was gathering customer feedback!
I can see why these scenes were deleted
Lyle is just trying to make an honest living unlike his distant Belorussian Crime family that he was willing to call to help Gus out

This is the best 6 like comment I've ever seen
To be honest, a shakedown like this would have had the media taking a look at this establishment from a unanimous caller possibly being one of the customers even if the proper authorities hadn't been called.
Maybe I'm not remembering what happens after this scene, but like, what if Nolan Miller there walks out, then immediately dials 911 and says some gangsters just walked into los pollos and started intimidating customers and employees? I mean they can stop Lyle from doing it, or leave right after he calls, but if Nolan or any other customers did, they wouldnt know until the cops were there. Then they're all in jail until they get bailed out for trespassing at least. I get it shows how rectless hector could be but really someone who walked out would've called the cops.

they haven’t exactly done anything that illegal here, worse case they’d get a small fine, plus there’s the fact that the police probs know not to fuck with them

@@JudeLind You're thinking of Mexico or you watch too many movies lol. In the US, the cops fear no 'drug lord' . . . US cops cannot be bribed these days, or even back in 2004. Big drug lords have tried to bribe cops, and they say it doesn't work. A famous drug lord in New York City said "I'll say one thing about the cops, they can't be bought. We tried. We offered them 1 million, 2 million, and they wouldn't accept. If there's anything to say about them, they cannot be bought" I think the reason isn't because they're so upstanding. I think these days the police are so micromanaged. You can't just bribe a police chief and then he just gives the orders to not arrest soandso. Word gets around. And if a cop is caught taking a bribe, that's a horrible charge. That's a felony and you'll spend 25 years in jail. Cops would rather take their 80 grand a year and their 3 million dollar pension. So rest assured, if one of thsoe civillians called the cops, they'd have no problem arresting Hector and his men. That's one unrealistic thing about this show. The criminals have too much confidence. In the USA, the criminals are scared shitless. In Mexico, they run the country. There's a big difference. Criminals in the US are constantly looking over their shoulders, terrified of the sight of a cop. They're a bunch of cowards. Organized crime figures paying off the cops is a thing of the past. That probably hasn't been done successfully since body cams were passed into federal law. . . .
Them feet dragging were his whole undoing.
Nolan Miller should have gotten in one good punch and sent Hector flying!

Hector hasn't actually done anything violent yet, and Nolan doesn't want to provoke Lyle's fury by escalating the situation.
