Rating rich schweikhart (relatively) high is correct imo. Like Howard, he’s a guy we think of as a stuck up antagonist at first, but really he’s a pretty decent guy and a good boss. There’s this scene where he talks to Kim about his time starting as a lawyer and struggling with the way he was treated in a firm, and it actually hits really hard. It’s pretty relatable for anyone who was ever in a shitty workplace

Great list! If you would make a top 10 bb/bcs characters, what would your ranking be? Where would you place Walt, Jesse and Hank for example?

Nice list! :D Here’s my top 8 (the huge main characters), although it was very hard to rank, because they’re all beyond phenomenal. 1. Jimmy / Saul 2. Lalo 3. Kim 4. Nacho 5. Mike 6. Gus 7. Howard 8. Chuck Howard and Chuck are interchangable, so are Kim and Nacho. And even though I wanted Gus and Mike to be higher on the list, I couldn’t because I enjoyed the show’s original characters (Kim, Nacho and Lalo) slightly more because of their unkown fate. That said, my top 3 characters in the universe gotta be Jimmy, Mike and Gus at this point, if we combine Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. And still even after all I just wrote, I’m not 100% sure my list will stay this way. Ask me tomorrow and my list may be different. :D

@@amysteriousviewer3772 Yes he is, but only out of the main characters. The reason he is in 8th place is just because I personally got slightly more out of the other characters. Everyone is just so great and it was very difficult to rank, and as I said, my list might change depending on the day. I'm still not sure if I like Chuck or Howard more. Chuck is an absolutely fantastic character that is crucial to Jimmy's character development.

@@FantasyFantasy934 It’s hard to rank characters when you kinda want them all to be Nr. 1 or 2 you know. Look, the reason I put Nacho, Kim, Lalo above Mike, is just because they were so amazing new additions and slightly more impressive given that they are new characters. That said, Mike’s arc in BCS is just as good as the arc of those other 3, and if we’re talking both shows, then Mike would be my 4th favorite character, and my top 10 would be like this: Jimmy > Lalo > Gus > Mike > Walter > Kim > Nacho > Jesse > Howard > Chuck

Paige Novak's "Muddying...the WATERS!" bit has become a running joke on my podcast, so I must take offense to her being so low on that grounds alone, good sir. Other than that, great list haha!

I just started the video and plan to finish it, but my top two goes Jimmy (obviously) then Kim. The rest of my top five changes between Chuck, Howard, Mike, Gus, and Nacho. Everyone else is B to S tier, with my tops being S+ to S+++

Great video and list. I would have Pryce higher thought as I really enjoyed watching him and his stories. I would also have Lalo higher as he stole the show everytime. Kim is the absolute best though for me, or at least she is by season 6.

My top 8 is here 1. Chuck McGill 2. Mike Ehrmantraut 3. Jimmy McGill 4. Gustavo Fring 5. Kim Wexler 6. Lalo Salamanca 7. Nacho Varga 8. Howard Hamlin I picked Chuck as the first because he is the only one who is perfectly written (a very bad person but so well written) and he has the looming presence all over the show even long after his death. The other characters have their moments of inconsistency (especially Jimmy and Kim) but Chuck has none. Jimmy’s rivalry with Chuck is the absolute best thing in the show and nobody can convince me otherwise.

Perfect tier list. I do prefer Nacho to Lalo but still pretty good

When i think of Betsy, I can't say I look at her as comedic relief, more like a hope that she gets caught up in some cartel business and gets taken care of. Because damn, i've rarely been so annoyed at a charachter as I have whenever Betsy's angry ass face was on screen. In a good way of course, the actress did an amazing job when playing her, and the role itself serves a purpose, but dammn she can play a character that you just wish the worst things to happen to LMAO

Howard was my favourite character. He got done dirty in the end. His ending was so unwarranted. Also Lalo was the most charismatic character. Why was he not in the series from earlier though? He didn't show up until half way through Season 5. Should have got more of him!

He showed up in S4 E8. And he came to Albuquerque to replace Hector who was unable to operate the bussiness. Before the stuff that happened to Hector he had no reason to be in the show.

Pryce is one of my favourite characters in this show, hes just such a sweet goofball and must be protected at all cost

I would like to ask you guys a question. Do you think the ending of the show has a “pro-Chuck” sentiment or an “anti-Chuck” sentiment?

A mixture of both. But I think it leans more to the anti chuck side. The earlier seasons and BrBa prove Chuck right partially, but the ending proves him wrong.

I disagree. Chuck is proved right by his very line “ Jimmy has a problem that he does the worst of things for reasons that almost sound noble. ” Jimmy is very self destructive kind of guy . Entire Saul Goodman facade is proof of that . Vince Gilligan on rich Eisen show admitted that. More over . The things Chuck says about Jimmy are the writers exploring the more rusty and mouldy side of Jimmy .

I understand the unpleasantness of Hector, but I wouldn't have put him below characters like Werner Ziegler, Bill Oakley and Manuel Varga.

I dont think i have hated a character as much as Betsy

As the show went on I ended up falling in love with Kim 😍

Why not put more effort into video editing??? What you're showing has no connection to the characters you're talking about...

I'm re-watching the series and skipping past 90% of the scenes/storylines that have Kim, Charles, Saul, etc.

I stopped watching this because the video clips don’t match the commentary

No Don Eladio? "DING DING DING!" Best single thing in the show. Omitting Daniel Wormald (AKA Pryce, AKA baseball card guy), though verbally mentioned, was a huge omission.

I think I'm fine with Lalo being number 8, but Nacho is severely overrated. He should not be above Lalo.

@@Nick-ju3tw I'm entertained watching Lalo, so much so that I grow to feel for him. And it's not like he doesn't have character, he's clearly upset by the fact that Nacho betrayed him. Nacho has good moments, but overall he just doesn't captivate me. Him swapping the sugar pills? It's horrifying. Him grabbing the drugs from the compound? It's fun. His shootout with the Salamancas in Mexico? Awesome. His final speech? Badass. But it's not enough. Nacho's a good character, but for me, he's outshined by everybody else around him.

@@Nick-ju3tw I never said I was rooting for Lalo, I'm just attached to him because he's awesome. And yeah, it is just my opinion, but I really just can't get behind all the Nacho love. He's great, but really uninteresting to me. Until his last 3 episodes, I always saw him more as filler, like Bolsa.

I kinda hated Chuck tbh

funny I hated Kim and Jimmy in the end, they were mailing it in and Bob's acting got pathetically lame

My god is Mike ehrmantraut so over rated.

He is a pseudo type good guy. Trying to pretend to be good but guess what. Even tuco cared for his uncle . Lalo took revenge on the behest of his uncle only. Mike on the other hand thinks that if he has a granddaughter. He becomes a good Samaritan in a way. He is often too brute and hard minded that he is a poky thorn in the ass . I guess that sums it

​@@vipulpathak8882it's more that he thinks if you're "not in the game" you should be left alone...which goes back to his son Matty not being in the game yet got killed. Mike seems to have some sort of morals though they may be hypocritical but still better than some other characters. I thought he was overrated in BB but BCS fleshed him out a lot better
