Only someone who hasn't seen the show would label him a villain.

To be fair, this interview is before season 2 had even been released. In season 1 he can definitely come across as a villain.

I mean the interviewer did say he was complicated, so it's not a one sided character.

As someone who is watching BCS, I would really contest the idea that Nacho is a villain. I identify with him on a lot of parts and I think the lines between 'heroes' and 'villains' in BB and BCS are very blurred.

Agreed! It's pretty much exactly like Mike said in BCS regarding the difference between bad guys and criminals. It's all about whether you keep your word or not. Everything else is blurred together.

He's such a gentle creampuff and yet pulls of an intimidating criminal so convincingly.

I really love how his character! His smooth voice and that he is not so aggressive makes it hard *not* to like him. even though he is a criminal. I think Tuco will eventually find out about his side business and kill him!

Jordan Livington In Breaking Bad, Saul once mentions an associate of his called Ignacio. So maybe he lives through the show and starts working with Saul.
