I've loved this song ever since I heard it in the film Love Actually, and have always intended to use in a tribute. But it was only the other day that I thought it would be perfect for Bette Davis. In her films, Davis usually falls in love but due to her position, health or any other circumstances, she is prevented from having her happy ending. The theme of this video is looking back at life with experience and hindsight, yet still not understanding any of it. The song is 'Both Sides Now' by Joni Mitchell.

when an actress takes hold of a role and makes it her own, you cannot help but believe in the charecter herself and to feel what she feels, sees and thinks. That, Ladies and Gentlemen, is what Bette Davis will be remembered for a hundred years from now. The greatest dramatic actress of her time.

Joni Mitchell actually wrote the song, but she didn't release her own version til later, and this is it yes :) Beautiful isn't it? I heard it in the movie Love Actually, and after listening to it a few times I was just like this is perfect for Bette. KZread wouldn't let me upload it for ages and I was so gutted, but they finally did so yay :) She is the greatest actress of all time. I'm so glad you enjoyed this. Thank you so much :)

Superb video I could have say it better. You are a wizard. Bette Davis is buried at Forest Lawn Burbank CA. Her mother is on the left side while her sister Bobbie is on the right side and Miss Davis is in the middle and her epitaph reads, "She did it the hard way." And she absolutely did it her own way. Davis was a "Force of Nature."

Soooo beautiful and brilliant! Claud, you match up better then Spielberg/Williams or Leone/Morricone!!!! :) ...we talked about this song and it just fits Bette so well with the scenes. Funny she won Oscars for Dangerous and Jezebel since I thought she equally if not more magnificent in Of Human Bondage, All About Eve, Mr Skeffington and What Ever Happened to Baby Jane. I think I first saw her in The Virgin Queen and no one else could play Elizabeth twice as few were stronger in personality.

Thank you - Bette was so multifaceted. You created such a beautiful homage to her with this video. Joni Mitchell wrote and sang the original version of "Both Sides Now" but, this version could have been made for your video. It really is perfect. Thank you again for sharing it with us. Peace to all.

SO glad they let this on now. The song and montage is so beautiful- Bette was a true legend and though the song might be a bit surprising to use for her, it fits perfectly.

And so you did. And may I say that this is one thousand times more exquisite than any tribute I could have hoped for. I'm lost myself, in a sea of tears of love and appreciation. Your video is heart rending and the most touching, powerful tribute to The Greatest Actress of All Time, Ms Bette Davis. I simply wasn't prepared for this. Tears are rolling down my cheeks because what you have wrought here is deeply profound. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

You are awesome for creating this tribute to the One and Only Bette Davis!! Additionally, you chose one of my most revered musicians of all times; Joni Mitchell! I have goose bumps and tears watching AND listening to 2 of my most treasured and adored people!! Thank you so very much!!!

I hate the way everyone is called a star instantly, as Bette said, that title should be earnt. And as for the movies, there are still great films being churned out but there so many films I see today where I get frustrated because they have a great director, a great cast, a great story - but not a good script. So many films are let down by this :/

You are so right... Regarding your work here, I just want to thank you for this most beautiful tribute. I was looking for a video to represent beloved Bette best, to be added to my "All time favorites" playlist - and now I found it. Your video goes straight there, having Joni's glorious late version of "Both sides now" also in it is such a treat - no music could fit better... An icon for an icon. Many greetings and all the best for you! Aneema

I'm sorry to keep writing on and on about your presentations here, but I am just OVERCOME by the sheer beauty of what you have created. And I love how you closed this video by quoting Bette Davis, "Movies should be bigger than life". That's the problem with movies today, life is small, and shabby and ugly. And movies are even smaller, and shabbier, and uglier. What happened to our dreams?
