Other problem on breeding is, you will suddenly will have over 100 bettas and need to find space and tanks. I have been through that many times. 😆😆

Me watching this video: i want that one. Ooohhh i want THAT one. Ooohhh that one's pretty... I want. 😂 Im insatiable. I just convinced my hubs we need a 40 breeder tank to add to our 7 up and running right now. 😂 He's picking up today. Also, question for ya, I've never mixed tail types before in my breeding projects. I tragically lost my sweet little koi hmpk female to dropsy (and probably ruined Christmas for years to come for my kiddos 😢). I have a beautiful little combtail halfmoon female that I'm tempted to cross with my hmpk male. She's right about a year at this point so at the top range of age I'd even consider breeding. Would this produce mangled "ugly" tail fry or would the combtail combine ok with the plakat tail?

Your husband is awesome 😎 👏👏 Comb tail with plakat produces halfmoon and some comb tail based on parent’s dominant genetics. If they are older than 14months,personally I may avoid as it cause more recovery time for them or less eggs to hatch. Thanks for commenting. 👍

Yes, you can do it. But based on your frys will be based on avatar dominant genotype. I have full video in production exactly talk about cross breeding including dumbo ears, will be released to channel by 2 weeks. Please keep watch-out

A Betta fish with a solid color will always maintain its body genetics and color in crossbreeding with Betta fish of other species....

Best is buy female veiltail. If you wanna try cross breeding, Halfmoon female is safer options.

Crowntail are man made variety. Generally, you can create crowntail only when either of the parent is crowntail and other fish is not dominant gene. In simple words, better to breed two crowntails or corwntail with plakats.

Yes you can! But do frequent maintenance of cleaning wastes. I suggest to go big, if possible. There are videos in channel about how to train betta. Check it out

Yes. But dumbo is non dominant gene.. so you may get mostly Halfmoon frys (because of male) and few dumbo recessive gene present any of the fish. Good luck with your breeding.

Mostly Halfmoon with blue/black, but ratio of colors depends on whether they have recessive genetics already due to their parents were also crossbreed. I will be publishing about color genetics soon.

I am trying to breed my Betta fish this one time and see how it goes. The pair look entirely different from each other, and part of this is wanting to see how it will turn out. I also hope the genetic variety will make strong fish. Wish me luck.

Yes, but it takes multiple generations of breeding to achieve, you may not achieve that in F2.

I have 2 active tanks. Both of them are for my betta. Both of them are 26.417 gallons or 100 litres. One is for my cute Bubble ( A Dragon Scale Betta ). Another one is for Rocket ( A Crown tail Betta). The both tanks are planted and both Bettas are breeded. I have two questions to you. 1. Can I breed them again ? 2. Can I add money plant to decorate the tank ?

Hi, I have a betta pair and I breeded them two times in a span of two months. First time I got 300 eggs and the second time I got around 80 eggs. The fry from both times are healthy and are growing well.

Yes, betta can breed again in 2 weeks as long as they are healthy and recovered back from previous breeding stress and injuries. Often Money plants are not fully submerging plant type. Usually people keeps roots alone to go in tanks. So I suggest to check your plant type and do it accordingly. Yes, it’s beneficial to your plant and the aquarium as it absorbs many nitrates and uses them for growth.
