I noticed that too

This song stopped my heart. It was like it was written for my sister. I am 2 years older than my sister. She was the beautiful and quiet middle child....I was the awkward and vocal oldest child (we have a younger brother). We were different as night and day. Mom called us her tempest (me) and her sunshine (my sister). I took that favortisim out on her for many years. We grew and both moved away. We did not see much of each other as we were across the country from each other. We are now in our 50's and are as close as ever....I love her so much and feel so horrid for how I was to her growing up. Thank you for this beautiful and emotional song Beth! I love all of your music and such a fan.....but this is my favorite one

I just listened to this song and Beth's preceding words, and somehow what she says about her relationship with her sister Susan struck a chord with me. My sister and I also used to bump heads every now and then, as sisters do sometimes, and sometimes it was fierce, but luckily we never let that cloud our relationship for long. Tomorrow it will be 5 years ago that my sister Jozien ended her own life after a struggle with mental illness for many years, and I miss her every day. Tomorrow I will post this song for her and tell her how much I miss her. Thanks Beth.

I do not cry that easily but this I literally had to hold back tears. Such an emotional beautiful song. In my life I have a twin sister that is terribly jealous. It seems no matter how much Itry to be there for she always manages to find something wrong, and it has been one of the most difficult and painful challenges of my life for many years. Even so, I have continued showing up for her in the midst of her tragedies and that sister who shows her consistent love and patience. I have had to go into a place where I am shielding myself from her outburst to protecty my own heart from the actions that come out of left field and her words have not truth to them and they are mean spirited. We can't talk through the process of what she is stating because she is that personality who lashes out with angry words and then blocks you, which I have finally realized is the behavior of how a bully abuses someone. Then she'll come back months later no apology and state to anyone who will listen, she doesn't know what I am upset about. It is a cycle of abuse ,and sadly a lot deep down pain that I usually don't like to talk about. This song though, Wow! I hate jealousy on all levels because it is such a from of control and in the end it controls the person willing to live in their feelings rather than in truth and blocks "real love" from taking root. Great song, I don't even know how I found this but I am glad that I did. Thank you!

This brings me to tears every time... Wishing I could repair my relationship with my estranged sister. She was so incredibly hurtful & cruel to my mom as my mom was slipping away. Can't find forgiveness for her actions & the pain she caused.

Omg!! This song is beautiful but I see it in a diff way. Of course thats the wonderful thing about love & the gift to share it. I personally think being the oldest out of 4 sisters & one brother, well your the Care Giver, even the live in baby sitter & the one they come to when they need help & things are broken. Especially when a single Mom is wrking late & a Dad is not there. Then it feels like a lightening bolt & they are grown! Now they are smarter, chose better, did better in life & your just not needed anymore. They talk dwn to you & have more money & suddenly, in my case anyway...yr the loser & yr not as successful etc because yr not that smart after all oh, Idk.. sorry Im rambling. Anyway... This song is dynamic, as dynamic as the multifaceted bonds between siblings, really Sister relationships can be so complex. However, there is a maze of feelings like the waters under the mountain, trying to bore their way out. I have been going thru a very personal hell & brokenness. Im not looked to or cherished or loved anymore. I am the same, I have not changed except this unwanted feeling is eating me alive. It is like I have a mortal wound but I did not die right away, its slow & extremely painful. Well, enough about me. Thank you for this song. I truly love it & am touched greatly by it.
