U have a timer on this pool pump? I always have to hit the reset button the next day to restart pump with the timer i have. Wonder if i should get new timer. Anyone else have this issue?

Yes, but you might need to check the size of the hole.

I have the same pump and for some reason it does not push out very good pressure :( I’ve backwashed and tried everything I can go get any air out. I’m at a loss.

If you have additional power timers you don't have to, but if you do you would have to manual hit the reset button.

Can you use this filter on summer waves pool please?

Hi i have Intex 488x122 and they gave Me random filter system so i need buy sand filter system or no? Couse i think sand filter is 10x more better than random filter.

You can add chemicals while the system is on, I do this without a problem.

Do you run this pump 24 hours a day? I set mine up and it only lasted a month before it burnt up?

Other video I saw the guy only did it 3 hours a day. Maybe 4 if pool was being heavily used.

I run mine during the day an average of 8 hrs.

Whenever I turn the pump back on after backwashing and rinsing it shoots REALLY dirty water back into the pool. 😫 HELP.

Make sure you turn the pump off when changing setting. And always rotate the handle in a clockwise direction. Always.

i had a lot of problems too- needed to use clamps to squeeze it together and it still leaka!

I have everything connected but when I turn it on it leaks out the sides of the ring at the top of the sand tank? What is the cause?

Where do the cotton balls go? Our filter came with cotton balls.

Yes to make sure the sand is even and to the line, did you see the video? if you need more info I have another video of a index filter that is similar to this take a look at it and see if this helps.

Add some water to the tank before adding sand. It helps absorb the shock of the weight of the sand on top of the spider web thing in the bottom of the tank. And be sure to use the cover thing that comes with the filter to keep sand out of the center tube.

Sir i have a question does this sand filter also drains the water of the pool ? Completely or it doesn't like there will be remaining like 10% water remaining And while u r using it how often do u need to drain water from pool and refill it again??

You can drain the water with the backwash but not recommended

@@bluejays23 no worries I keep mine on all the time not a danger only a tripping hazer on the outside. I keep myself on all the time the kids are in the pool to filter dirt and any loose particles kids bring with dirty feet and dead skin.

I bought this Bestway pool with that pump and had a defected pump was a headache to get another one from them. But awesome video because the instructions suck!

@@debsmith2015 Did you buy pool filter sand? And did you use the rinse setting at your first startup? You must rinse the sand then use the setting that levels the sand before setting the pump on filter.

The best is AFM but I just use the glass from swim and fun. It's cheaper and in my experience it works fine 😊
