This jeep looks perfect, a simple lift and some nice looking tires. Love it!

I think they're great for hail: it just bounces off, and doesn't dent. It doesn't rain much here in Colorado, but well-adjusted soft tops with good door surrounds work great in the rain. I take mine thru the carwash.

I own a 2 door 2010 Jeep JK and honestly the hard top looks better but I think the soft top is much better. Reason 1, it weighs far less which improves fuel economy. Reason 2 All I do is unlatch the front part while Im moving at about 30km/hour and it folds nicely into a big sun roof.

I agree the older ones were so much lighter and easier. It should not take two people to put the top up. Not besttops fault though it’s the new sunrider feature which is ridiculous. I have it and have stand on the back bumper and throw the top over and hope it lines up reasonably well. Total pain in the ass sometimes.

Of course. Very easily. The newer tops have quick disconnects. On older tops you'll need a special "torx" screwdriver, but it's just a couple little bolts, and the top lifts right off.

That Jeep is running on 35" tires, with a 6" long arm lift. It's got air lockers front and rear, and flexes really well (if you remember to pull the pins on the front arms!). It's a nice Jeep that's fun to drive. It's an automatic, but that's actually a big plus on slow moving rock trails. The bloke in the video is 6'3" or 6'4" tall. And yes, he is British.

It's a Supertop NX. The "Sunrider" top from Jeep that came with straight-from-the factory-Jeeps is almost identical. (Bestop has a top called "Sunrider" as well - and it's different. All part of some secret plan to be confusing).

Great video, but I have a 99 TJ and put a new Bestop factory replacement on it (not sunrider). Is there a video for that please?

So if you're out and about and put your soft top down by yourself what is easiest way put the header back up to the latch Point area. I've tried doing this by myself and when you grab one side and try to bring the bow assembly up over the sport bars it gets crooked and starts jamming up. I've seen people just get in the back standing on the bumper and just throw it back up into position. What's your take on it

I'm Jeep Hunting, why do all the tops i see at the dealerships for the years 2007-2017 look saggy and droopy and not tight like this and standing stiff/perfect. I'm confused. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Maybe they need new bows that sit higher or something?

Yeah because it is extremely difficult to break the car window. Now you might argue that in other cars the alarm will go off. True, but you still need the replace your glass.Besides that the jeeps have a chip in the key that make it impossible for the car to be hot wired (as with most modern cars). The point is, anybody can do any damage to any car be it a convertible or not.

all your videos have 2 PEOPLE putting the top up/down. Please show how to w/ 1 PERSON. I want to know the best way, b/c last time I put it up alone - the sunroof hinge suddenly flipped back with enough momentum to break both quick-release bow knuckles (hinges) off each side. It was a horrific experience as it's a brand-new bestop. Don't know whether I should leave the sunroof hinge back (it seemed harder)?

keep sunrider sleeve in LOCKED position (sleeve over tube hinge) when taking top back completely, it is easier, less risk of damage when putting it back. For one person to put top back up, stand in the inside of rear seat area

Or you can stand on the rear bumper with the tailgate open and just throw the whole top over clip in the front without locking the latches. But yeah I would have like to see Dave the super hero (did you see the way he came into the video). put the top up by himself. Lol.

Very nice soft top but I prefer my hardtop + emergency top combo.

I've owned a lowered (4 inches off ground) Civic coupe for seven years now, and love lowered cars but these 2 door soft top Wranglers are FAR too cool. Been there bud, driving an SiR right now, and so tired of how low it is (stock height too, not even lowered). Guy before me tore the front bumper, i tore the side skirt off once too.

i just bought a 2014 jeep wrangler sport n i love it but the top will not attatch correctly by the doors since the fost time i took the top off. Help ! ive tried to take everything off and realign things to make sure they r straight and as perfect as can b. Any suggestions?

I am new too. But, don't be afraid to ask another Jeep owner. They are always willing to at least point you to the problem. I work with a Jeep owner so I am good.

I feel I'd take off the quarter windows or use the sunroof feature more than taking the whole entire thing off. Too much to be taking on and off the entire top.

thats real smart to have a zipper and velcrow on the OUTSIDE. I always thought jeeps were easy to break into because you can just cut the plastic windows, but a zipper on the outside? If i had a jeep and i live where i do now that thing will be gone in the first five minutes

One thing you left out was when putting the top back up you need to make sure the side tabs click in before you reclamp the windshield clamps.

Assuming you haven't found an answer yet, you can buy an aftermarket top for much less and get the same quality as a factory top. Bestop makes fantastic soft tops if you're still looking.

Roger Vieira bestop makes good aftermarket softops for jk, try ebay or even check craigslist, here in usa theres always people selling there softops for around 600 to 800 bucks on craigslist.

All 2 doors Jeeps are 4 seaters but you can easily remove the back seat if you like for much more trunk space!

Don't lock you center console or glove box. Do you really want someone to cause $500 to $1,000 damage to your interior for the sake of your flashlight?

I hate that sunrider feature. Makes the front bow heavy and a bitch to raise the top by yourself. I’ve never used the sunrider feature either top is up or all the way down. Don’t need a “sunroof” in a Jeep. Does best top make a soft top WITHOUT that stupid sunrider feature for a 2011 Sahara two door?

Those straps really arent worth the time putting them on. I never use mine and the thing doesnt move an inch

It’s really easy and quick.

My YJ doesn't get anything cool...sniff sniff.

Zipper on the outside means people can get in and see theres nothing without slashing your windows or top.

Does anyone know any soft tops that are easy to remove and store in the trunk of the Wrangler? I want to be able just to easily remove the top and store it in the trunk and then put it back on without having to store the windows somewhere. Is that possible?

but the thing is is that i live in a bad neighborhood and in my neighborhood you HAVE to have a parking sticker hanging on your mirror or you will be towed and people in my neighborhood LOVE to steal these. my grandmother left her door unlocked and hers got stolen. thats my only concern now

The hard top is easier but just have to be-careful and need a second person… the soft top has a lot of steps… plus you can damage the zippers easy, the only good side is it's light weight They should make a hard top that's more light weight but strong …

I have taken mine off and back on maybe 250 times and never damaged a zipper.

That sounds like you just dont want to have a convertible then. Not something specific to the Jeep. Having the soft top accessible from the outside IS smart, because it can save you thousands of dollars in replacing the hard top.

It's possible that a Jeep isn't the right vehicle for you. Where I live, a little sports car would get torn up on the roads -- so you know, there are lots of car options in the world. BUT I should probably point out that it's really difficult to undo the windows unless you first unlatch the header. So your neighborhood bad guys will most likely cut through the top, just like they would on other convertibles out there.

none of your 100 videos are helping me..... lol im looking for a factory 07 wrangler 4 door soft top. and not with a "spring" cable....... theres 1 part im not 100% sure how it works its in the middle above the driver by the lock to keep the top on.

Top doesn't make any difference stealing your car. Smash and grab guys break windows on cars by the thousands every night across the US to seal a bunch of quarters. I can silently break your windows in one second be in any hard top car. Theft of auto is way way down worldwide with newer key types

Best top tops are junk. After waisting $800 on a best top and installing several other brands I will never recomend best top again... My best top fits like shit, the zippers were sawn in wrong on three of the four windows. They sent me replacement windows, and they also fit like shit. The factory top that came on my jeep was 10x the piece of shit replacement best top.
