Legit! Jeep snobs are the worst dude. Everyone has different tastes. Some like square headlights some round. Both are valid. Some love manual and consider automatic childish or whatever. What’s important is you love what you drive. I personally love my 2016 sport. I upgraded from a 2014 Patriot altitude. Didn’t really sacrifice gas mileage which is awesome for my wallet. She has a lot of get up and go and is my daily driver. I wouldn’t have another Jeep (in my price range).

Proud owner of what is now my 3rd Wrangler; went from a JKU to a JK & now a JLU. Have had sports cars & trucks, but the Wrangler is simply a fun vehicle - crappy mileage, wind noise, terrible handling, slow, & quirky ... still worth every penny to me.

Teo, thank you for the response. I don't know why Jeep owners have to give each other shit about their rigs. Its been since the beginning of time the guys with the older stuff say its best. I love my new GC, but also loved my old Cherokee, and my Wrangler. My Wrangler was the worst for "well everything" but out of all the rigs I have ever owned I miss it the most.

I agree, there is now this divide between Jeep owners, this new generation see Jeep differently. The problem I have with this is that over time the jeep brand will start making vehicles for everyone but true jeep people, and the only thing left will be the wrangler JL which is way overpriced in my opinion. They need a mid priced solid axle jeep again, but they wont go that route because the "new "buyers dont care or want that.

I worked for Jeep Corporation may years ago. In the early 1980's, Jeep realized that in order to increase sales they had to make the vehicle appeal to women. This was the advent of padded dashes, carpet, power windows, etc. For the first time the Jeep became more "car-like" instead of being primarily a utilitarian vehicle. Regarding the JK, considering all the creature comforts it offers, it still retains a level of off-road performance that is at the top of the list. Pretty good all-around model I'd say.

I still think it's funny how people always pull out the "the older ones are better" argument with basically any newer vehicle. Sure, the older Jeeps are cool, but the JK and JL are much more comfortable, spacious and convenient to daily drive compared to the older models. Hey Tommy, you can move the seats more than what you showed. It's called Tip n' Slide or something like that. Works on both seats (at least on my 2018 2 door JK Sport S), you basically move the back forward like you did, but then if you keep pushing the top of the seat forward towards the dash the seat will tilt from the base. This makes the access to the back much more easy.

Jeep expanded their customer base by making the JK the most accessible Wrangler ever... that same expansion brought in a lot of soccer moms and non-traditional off-roaders, which only annoys the purists and no one else. There are more soccer moms buying Wranglers than there are purists not buying them, so Jeep sells more vehicles and the JK became the best selling Wrangler ever. I expect the JL to outsell the JK over time.

Not a sports car, pickup truck, or a family vehicle with a trunk large enough for all their luggage. It's exactly what it's been for years, a two-door Jeep with no room for hardly anything besides the passengers. lol. And like saying it has a minivan engine. Great video. I recently traded a 2001 two door for a 2106 Willys Wheeler two door. I was very skeptical of the newer model. It felt too fragile and fancy to take off road. While its nice enough as a daily driver in terms of comfort, its a rather boring ride. But, when I get it on the trail, wow, it comes to life. I find it way more capable than my older Jeep and its still stock. I know there are those who complain about various features ( for me it's the truly awful stereo interface), lack of storage, the need for expensive mods, etc. Yes those things are true, however that is also the fun of a Jeep. They are for people who want to make them their own and I think Jeep buyers know that going in. For me, I enjoy figuring out how to make it work for me ( and my budget) and I think most Jeepers do. Yeah they can be mall crawlers, but who cares. Its what you chose to do with it.
