I know these videos get views but please don't " assist" if the skin is not ready.

I am just curious do you own a Bearded Dragon?
@enigmaticheart666

@@sterlinghawk_g20 you don't need to own one to do a Google search to see every fuckin expert under the sun says don't do it Do you need to own a sea turtle to know not to scrape barnacles off its back violently with a rusty butcher knife? Man people are dumb (and ironically I do own a beardie, they're not an uncommon animal lmfao) Even simpler question do you need to own a dog to know ripping all its fur off clump by clump is stupid????

Notice how the dragon isn’t upset or flinching? It knows the owner is helping. And when this dragon was flinching it was because it’s itchy.
Why is it some ppl use tweezers and such and other ppl just use their hands when helping them shed? Truly just wondering
I don’t think you should have to tug any of that skin off….it should be ready to slough off
Wouldn’t it be a good idea if you soaked his skin a little before hand so it comes off easier?

He has been soaked already 😊 the skin appears hydrated and is coming off in large chucks rather than small crunchy pieces
Cool!! 😁

people think that it can cause more harm then good, like, if you pull when its not ready to come off and you might damage the scales. Personally, I think its your dragons temperament, and your husbandry. For instance I have a few that hate help but, I let the shed opaque, put them in a good soak, and then make sure the basking Temps are a bit higher, and they come off by themselves in a day or two. but I have a few that would scratch their own eyeballs out to get the shed off, and those ones literally help me help them get the shed off. As long as you are not pulling still wet and really hard to get off scales..... go slow and respond to your animals reactions, you are fine and so is the dragon to help. They are dry shedders, so, if the scales are wet or, hard to pull, they are not ready.

that was a very accurate and informative comment.. You are 💯% correct and I should put a disclaimer with something like that at the beginning as to not promote people hurting there dragons by trying to imitate my actions. Thanks for taking the time to explain that. Because that is a common comment that I get.
Another brilliant shed assist. Great video. Personally, it's better without background tunes been played. Ta

Thats so painful for him, don't do it just because you enjoy it. Put him in a warm bath the skin will just fall off and ur poor dragon doesn't have to be in pain for your pleasure
@ChuckNorrizBeardedDragons
Жыл бұрын
Of he was in pain he would just walk away/ or even struggle. I did soak him. And done right helping with shed (if done correctly) "can" expedite the uncomfortably shedding process
@cassykent1964
5 ай бұрын
He’s clearly not in pain or he would run away. You can tell already that the skin has been soaked as it’s not crunchy and coming off in larger pieces
Use your hand instead the tools so u can hold the body when u tear the skin to reduce his pain

Ok wouldn't he just walk away if it was bothering him. Like you said you've owned them so I'm kind of confused as to why they would stay if they were in pain. You have been caring for them for a much longer time than I have, and I am open to constructive criticism.
