I so love and appreciate your videos. I can’t decide between Hydrating water essence or facial oil mist. Which one has the better anti-aging ingredients? I’m sorry if you said and I missed it. My 9 year old was needing me. Also, I’m looking to Eliminate products in my skin care/makeup routine. If I can use one product for multiple things that would be great. What else can each be used for besides a toner?

Facial oil mists - check ingredients for allergens though (I couldn't buy one of them because I have a bergamot allergy sadly). The one I bought, that also contains SAP, is the soothing variation Ways to use mist specifically? I always have a small bottle in my bag for refreshing my makeup through the day. I use them before setting spray to add some hydration over top of my blush/highlighter/contour (helps make it look more natural vs more like makeup). And as a bonus - if I ever get a mist that I don't love on my face, I use it up on my body before applying body lotion. Basically, I adore mists haha 😁

I'll say I'm in my Early 50's and so sick of spending hundreds of dollars on worthless face products that make my skin worse.( The latest was Skyn iceland- the only product I liked was the eye relief pen. Every other product made my skin breakout with in two weeks of using there product) Any way I'm gonna try a few of the Elf products and hopefully I will have some good results. Thank you for the indepth info on the products ( It's very much appreciated.)

Acne/dry skin is such a tough combo. I think the most frustrating part is that a lot of people simply don't understand it. We get to hear, "but that's not possible because oil causes acne!?" in addition to the recs of "just wash your face" 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ I know the struggle so wishing you the best of luck!

I have currently the Fragrance-free Holy Hydration Face Cream, and even though I have oily skin, it has been working well for me as a night cream. Cant get cbd or hemp-containing elf products here in canada in-person stores, alas lol. I want to try holy hydration moisturiser later, but the oily skin jelly moisturiser... oh boy, this might be something i want to use as a multi-purpose product. I've been looking for a dupe for the versed eye gel that i can get up here so maybe i can try out for that under eye makeup area. I also want to try it as a layering step between serum and a heavier moisturiser. Might be something to consider then. 😋 I actually really like TO's moisturiser as a topper at night for both summer and winter since cerave's cream moisturiser is too much for my oily skin, but if i mix it with a drop or two of my hemi-squalane it really helps the spreadability and adds just enough emollience to make my skin supple at the end of my nighttime routine. My skincare routine is pretty minimal but i like that TO's line has the components to adjust in their line to help the lack of cosmetic elegance just a wee bit.

I find myself frequently lamenting how much farther we could be had half of our population (I. E. Women) not been completely oppressed in most society. The sheer brilliance we’ve missed out on, or that was taken and had a male’s name slapped on it. We’d be in flying cars by now because global warming would’ve been taken care of and we wouldn’t have to contend with smog in the air. UGH.

I have to disagree with you. Sure maybe women were put down back in the day. But i don’t believe women are oh so kind and good hearted. I don’t believe emotions and kindness was given to just one gender. And i do not think we would have environmental impacts. I’ve been made fun of or in my circle, have been the only one or 2 that care for the environment, everyone else doesn’t seem to give 2 craps. Women aren’t more careful, they are as careless as men, and women also have brawls and attitudes just as men. That being said, which is why i don’t ever think a world where women ruled, would be any different than where men ruled, that’s a facade. I think we all need to cooperate to advance and better our world, not as genders but as collective thinkers and conscious thinkers. Women also put down other women all the time, no I’m not talking about fat shaming or body shaming, I’m talking about self shaming, always thinking you are weaker and so you don’t even want to lift a heavy wooden object because you believe your not as strong as men. Women relay their fragility into other women that put their foot down and say, NO I CAN DO IT. Many a time I’ve done heavy lifting and i don’t need much help from others, but a female colleague will say ‘we need the GUYS to do this’. Which to me, puts me and my efforts down. I do not need the help of a guy just because another woman thinks she is weak. I’ve met women that get into fist fights, love gossiping, cheated in relationships, love sexualizing others, beat their husbands, leave their kids hungry, have relationships with their child’s abusers and don’t give a crap for the earth. Just like some guys as well. So bottom line, women are just like men, there is no difference. But as humans, which is the term i focus on, there are ones that care, there are ones that don’t, there are ones that want to care for earth, there are ones that don’t, there are ones who are ambitious, there are ones who aren’t. All humans are different and to think a gender has different personalities is bogus. If a woman wants to make flying cars, go ahead and do it, there is no one stopping you from entering the field of study you want to anymore. If you wanna stop global warming, TAKE care of it NOW, no one is in your way anymore. You can have what you want, the only person in your way today is you. You don’t need to be oppressed anymore. The only oppressor now, is conditioned thinking, old beliefs and medieval rules. We can all lift the oppression if we didn’t believe in these ridiculous notions ourselves. You want change in the world, stop telling girls they can’t gain muscle, stop telling girls that we need the guys to do the heavy work, stop telling girls pink is their Color, stop telling girls that they need to wait for a day in the future to embark on a journey. Everything happens now.

Well... obviously. I’m not arguing that one gender should be above the other, I’m saying that that has been the case for the majority of our history and that had women‘s voices carried as much weight as men’s that’s literally twice the ideas that could have been floated out there. Certainly tons would’ve been horrible, but that doesn’t discount the immeasurable missed opportunities.

Putting neroli oil into a leave in product is a disaster waiting to happen, especially for the folks who don’t use enough sunscreen or skip it altogether. The Oxidation and photo toxicity that is inevitably going to occur even without direct sun exposure is so dicey and should really be a no-no for all companies. Blows my mind.

Wait neroli?? Do you mean lemon perhaps? Neroli essential oil, when extracted from the flower portion, is low in furocoumarins. I'm actually 99% sure that it's not considered phototoxic. I'll double check though...back in a bit haha!

Okay so here's a rather exhaustive safety data analysis: www.cir-safety.org/sites/default/files/Citrus%20flower%20and%20leaf_0.pdf And I did double check the elf ingredients - it's the flower. Allergy aside (always worth noting with citrus ingredients), it should be well within the limits for phototoxicity. Do let me know if you have other info though - I'm always open to changing my mind when presented with new data!!

So there is a popular skincare doctor that makes a presence here on youtube here and there. Said doctor has an expensive skincare line and I noticed a lot of the products have essential oils 😣 He says essential oils are fine as long as they arent applied neat to the skin. So basically he is saying that even if a product has several essential oils in it, that it wont be irritating to the skin since it is among other ingredients. I think you are smarter that a doctor so was wondering you opinion on that!? Lol

Okay...I'm going to TRY not to write an essay here 🤣😂 So here's the thing with essential oils: they're complicated. They're not just one or two chemicals, they are an exhaustive list of components - some of which can be irritating for some people, and yet some of which may provide benefit. Adding to that, plants aren't exactly standardized recipes designed by nature - they vary. Which means that every. single. batch. ...ends up having different mixes of chemicals. I suspect a lot of the issue is that skincare is ALREADY complicated enough, so this idea of magnifying the confusion tenfold is not very appealing. And since EOs can indeed have irritating components, it's a lot easier to say "kick 'em out!" - which works for a lot of people! And of course it works - because that act of removing a handful of ingredients ends up being the removal of thousands of chemicals. If some of those thousands were a problem...then we've isolated the problem. Well, sort of! (To be continued...it's an essay 🤦‍♀️😂)

So...some people swear by EOs...what's the deal with that. It's important to know that there are ways to actually remove some of the problematic components from a final EO (bergamot is a great example of this). With the irritating constituents removed, you can actually end up with an almost "cleaner" EO in the end - that still retains some potential benefits. This is....quite frankly, pretty cool stuff. But how do you know if the EOs in your products have gone through these extra processes? Well....you really don't. However, that could easily explain why there are some people singing the praises of EO-containing products and others running into issues. Further complicating the issue, we have the world of MLMs becoming intertwined with the EO world. Which I personally cannot stand --- that's another rant and I already wrote enough here haha. But hopefully that helps?

@@AliceintheRabbitHole Wow ok I knew none of that. I have heard some brands of EO's call their products more "pure." Of course that is a lot of marketing too. I stepped into the world of EO's a while back and quickly came out of it. It was too cult like! Lol. I always, always avoid EO in my skincare but then when I heard that doctor say as long as they are diluted you are fine, I questioned it.. But my skin has loved fragracnce free, EO free prodcuts so I need to NOT question what I see and feel with my actual skin. thank you so much for educated me! You knowledge base is incredible!
