5:31 That's not how the IP rating works. The first number refers to the solids protection while the second refers to the water protection. It is 1 point lower on solids.

I love my RING. wireless = how it connects to the base station.

Thanks for this review. I have a summer home that I want to secure with cameras, but it’s 40 acres, so Wi-Fi and wired systems aren’t practical. I have been using a Reolink Go PT Plus with a solar panel. I generally like it - it gives me a great picture, sound, notifications, no monthly fee, alarm (no light), zoom and 360 views. But the battery is horrible. Even with the solar panel charging it, I’m only getting 6-8 weeks out of it, and then I have to drive an hour each way (twice) to recharge it. I’d like to add 20-30 more cameras, but some will be in the woods, so solar won’t be as much help, and I can’t even imagine the constant charging, times 20-30! Do you have any suggestions?

What a pain! Sounds like you might need a more permanent solution like a PoE or more hard-wired setup, especially with the number of cameras you're wanting to add. Brands like Lorex or Deep Sentinel might be good places to start.

Question: For the cameras using SD cards, it seems the user would need to physically retrieve the card from the camera, then install the card in a computer in order to view its contents (somewhat similar to retrieving jewelry from a safe deposit box in order to wear it for an occasion). Is this accurate?

Somewhat! With the Reolink PT, for example, that SD card inside gave the camera something to record on which was then accessible through the app. But when we took it out and read it on a desktop, we found a lot more stored. You'll eventually need to take the SD card out once it's full, but that's not a daily task. Most of the time, you can see everything on the app.

With wyze you can just go in the app and go back in the timeline and see what has happened. like ring you can only see the events that were triggered. I had wyze and could just go back in the timeline thru the second to see what I missed unlike ring you can only go back thru timeline of events it caught I am thinking of switching back to wyze because of this.

Power source? Mine are on Solar.

One major item missed. The Wyze, while wired, doesnt require periodic charging, and records on a constant loop, not just hit or miss events. With a 64gb card you can get around 8 days of 24x7 recording on top of cloud events.

Why didn’t the Eufy S330 make the list?

Since Eufy's privacy issue arose last year, we've been holding off on putting any of their stuff on our best-ofs. Their cameras are still awesome though! We'll look into that one a little more. Thanks for the recommendation!

Why doesnt anyone talk about ring only lets you go back in the timeline to see what events it has captured and it does miss things. Wyze with the sd card will let you go back thru the timeline by the second and see what you missed that way. Thinking of switching back to wyze because of this. Ring will only show your timeline of events not just go back in time like wyze
