I gotta go with the queen skin. It’s one of the best skins I have seen and I’m f2p casual so I don’t get skins often. I do wish the decorations were a lot cheaper though. The fact they cost more than a book of heroes is insane.

I think cosmetics are cool cause they’re a once in a lifetime thing. You’ll always be able to upgrade eventually but these will be a cool memory to look back on and make your base a lil cooler

Decorations are the end-all in this game. If your decorations are wack, you’re missing out.

As a player of COC for a decade - go for the Queen Skin. Always good to value the long-term POV. Imagine you're already close to max base with only walls, few troops, and pet upgrades left - you're really gonna look back on this event and wish you could have gotten the skin instead. Especially those for f2p casual players who don't compete in tournaments, and don't need to have a max level of everything when an update comes.

As a decorations collector, I think I will go for the decorations. Because these decorations are extremely rare and never coming back again.The AQ hero skin will come October next year for purchase with $$

hero books are great but... im rushed so i went for builder pots and research pots. i wish there was more for the f2p side. i really wanted those books and the skin.

I feel like when they will add new challenges, the rewards would be the event tokens instead of potions, but we will see

I love this kind of content! The educational and mathematical information; being explained and broken down in simple terms. Great tip with using the builders' potion with the boost! As a free to play player, I've never had a "boost" before, so I don't think I would have thought to use the builders' potions! Also, I love your option/feedback on the best value/use of the metals!

The last option is not really great cuz it only skips 81 hrs or 3.3 days which is not really much so I would say you have 3 options 1.Get the skin 2.Get the obstacles 3.Get all kinds of book and keep them or use them if u would like The book of heroes is not really worth in those lower town halls

I think this is the one event that doesn't seem so clear. It feels like they're splitting this into 3 phases because I feels like you should be able to buy as much of those magic items as possible. Although that does seem like you're making upgrades a bit easy to achieve over the month, but it could be seen as motivating. Also the tab for the upgrades is only partially filled across which seems like there should be more stuff there further into the event. That's how I feel though, and I'll probably be very wrong. This event seems like one of their best yet, but also the most confusing

You echoed my thoughts so much Joe! Yes that AQ looks sick, but the magic items are going to help me a ton in removing tens of days of upgrade time. The moment I see basically EVERYONE running the same skin will make me sure it aint so special anymore!

Same here. I bought 2 book of heroes and some builder potions for my progression and a cozy coffin just for decor stuff. I can now upgrade my queen instantly from 70 to 75 just after I get some dark elixer. I'm also planning to buy lunar queen skin or warrior queen skin in upcoming lunar event so that free skin would be pointless for me too. And if everyone is having that free skin, it would be boring after some days :)

Buy Queen Skin or rare obstacles (if you're obstacles lover) rest you can get in clan games or with cwl medals. Also you can max your heroes a month later rather than Missing a Queen Skin 🙂

For me, this event is so good because you cant have a bad choice in the rewards. You can get a nice limited skin for free or boost your progression also for free, so its a win-win situation. Personally ill go with the queen because i like to collect them, but if someone prefer to go for the books its an amazing choice too.

Already bought the queen and I'm glad I did; as a casual who doesn't get to play constantly; I'm not worried about maxing my upgrade time as I wouldn't be able to keep up with it And I'd rather have my characters look cool while I play

See the thing for me as a f2p player is, I can always progress. There will always be another hero book available with gems or from events and things like that. However with the Queen skin, f2ps will never be able to get it again, and there’s a chance it might not even return next year. I’m happy with my choice of the skin, and save onto your medals because there’s been a leak for a free 1000 medals coming to the shop soon

I would normally avoid cosmetics but I'm a th15 progressing very quickly and I feel like I don't need the magic items to max my base so I'll be getting the queen skin :)

(As F2P) The Queen skin will be available in a couple months or a year for money or gems but the decorations will only be once in a lifetime. So I'm gonna go with decorations.

If you want to get mashup medals fast just trophy drop (hopefully you have the option) and target sour elixer with heros & use a training potion with baby dragons/barbarians for a quick army.

from legend league, i went down to bronze in just an hour bro. hahaha now im climbing back up slowly.

Although the skin is cool, for me as a F2P player, trying to max as fast as possible, if you have upgrades available that go longer than 12 days, taking the the Builder Book is the smartest, since it can skip you more time than a 2 Hero Books. I am taking 2 Builder Books to skips 2x 18 day upgrades and 1 Hero Book. Skips me 2x 18 + 1x 6 days, so 42 days - whilst 3 Hero books would only save me 3x 6 days. Just calculate that for youself, because if you have longer upgrades available Builder Books are always the best choice - same goes for spending your Gems (currently the Goblin Builder is better but asides from that).

This is what I have expected from you Jo.... definitely a good advice... actually they placed the skin at the top to grab your attention...and it's just like choosing between 3 books of hero or a hero skin for 1500 gems... But let me be very honest...skins only look cool for few days or so...and after that you'll not even notice which skin you have😂

Queen or decoratives are the best option. Grind is pretty much permanent but Skins and decoratives are limited

If you’re using the goblin researcher, you get double value from your research potions, so they are more valuable than the books unless you’re th14/15 with some upgrades

I know a lot of people might not agree with me but I kinda wish they put the scenery in the event shop instead of the Queen skin. I'm not in rush to get the Queen skin even tho it looks great I have a lot of skins for her already and I mostly just use one so I would've loved to get the scenery for free instead lol also would've been great for F2Ps because every other scenery is paid. Either way still a solid event tho 🔥 I'm already maxed out on the halloween pass still deciding what to buy. And ngl I'm loving the barchers so much! quick to train and easy farming it's a great alternative for super goblins if you don't have them yet

actually only one single scenery was completely free and that's the pixel scenery. It was in the 10th clashiversary along with the only other free legendary skin - the pixel king.

Option 2 is the wisest choice of all players who are very competitive. But as a f2p player I'll go with the skin since it's branded legendary, all legendary skins costs money and yeah it saves us money also I'm not into competitive style.

I'm th14. Got the skin and all the training potions. In two days I made almost 100 walls. With how quickly the army is made especially if you also have the pass, those potions are extremely valuable

Another piece of advice: start upgrading buildings that take the least amount of time in your base (less than 2 days if you still have any) then, on the last day or hours of the event, upgrade the buildings with the highest amount of time (1 week+). This way you can get the greatest value for the builder boost.

Nah, just do the longest. Shorter upgrades make no difference. The reduction is percentage-based. Longer upgrades = more time reduction.

@@NightFury717 I actually thought that at first, until I did the calculations and found this: Let’s say you have 200 hrs left on the event (about 8 days) and you want to upgrade 10 buildings. (I’m using whole numbers as it’s easier to calculate) 1 of these buildings cost 150 hrs while the other 9 cost 40 hrs each to build. Without the 10% boost, that will take 510 hrs. With 10% boost: 150->135, 40->36 Let’s do your strategy first, The big building will be 135, then add 36+36 with a total of 207 hrs. Since the event is over at this point, the 7 buildings left will be 40 hrs each, so you end with a total of 7x40+207=487 hrs. Now let’s do my strategy: 5x36=180 Then you do the big building before event ends and the rest of the small ones after. 180+135+4x40=475 hrs. In the end, your strategy will take 487 hrs while mine will take 475 hrs. You can even save more time the larger the difference between the big buildings and the small ones: 250 hr building with 30 hr buildings.

@@almondbutton I think it should or it would be unfair as the boost did not affect buildings that were already being built before the event. Also, that would mean they would have to take resources from your storage when the event ends. Imagine having negative gold in the bank.

The rings of walls are always the best offer as you get a higher gold and elixier value from them than buying the recourses directly (if your walls are already at least level 11)

It's okay if I'm not able to take the opportunity to boost my progress but damn, that skin is literally once in a lifetime event arguably. Progress comes later since I'm still gonna max out later on. So I decided to get it and now I have it as well after only using heroes to get the loot

With regards to this video, which I totally think is top tier content honestly because it’s unique and actually standouts and points out useful information, depends on the play style of the clasher. The more ‘competitive’ style clashers, efficiency driven, ‘lazy’ aka smart casual clashers will go for purchasing the books, and runes and potions and not queen skin. The people that arguably have more time and/or are about collections f2p or not will go for the either the Queen skin (f2p) or decorations AND shovels also (f2p) and both if they are able to chip in a few bucks. Basically there’s no real wrong choice as long as you make the decision based on your play style and not what others are doing or making decisions based on biased half thought decisions. That’s where this kinda content really shines so, that’s a W for KJ right there. Besides, just a possibility, you could invest those mash up medals into books and potions and max out and participate in tournaments ( at TH9 obviously as that’s when the Archer Queen is unlocked) and potentially win some prize money and get the queen skin when it comes out next year. I mean sure it’s a long process and all but you get where I’m coming from. Moving on, Ty KJ and Clash On Clashers.⚔️

I was able to finish last few upgrades to get 6th builder and get the Queen skin because of this event in my opinion the event is pretty sick

Honestly I think the book of heros is so worth it for only 950 medal things which is so useful for higher level town halls (I am town hall 14 so that is super useful, hero upgrades take forever).plus I use hybrid so I need my heros for attacking, have to level them up somehow ,I do think the queen skin is super cool though

I'm at TH15 and have all 04 pixel hero skins and 03 world championship hero skins (waiting for the RC skin) so I guess I'm going with the option 02 since I don't wanna spend money to complete the GHOST skin set. COC is giving these options to speed up your progress I think maybe because TH16 will probably coming soon. So I will choose fast progress over a one single skin because it adds another incomplete hero skin set the inventory and it doesn't add value to the account since it is free. I think I'm going to go with a combo of builder and maybe some research potions. My heroes aren't high level enough to where its valuable to use book of heroes and I'm still looking to upgrade a lot. Not too much a fan of the new skin compared to the King one that should be purchasable soon. But now I question if its worth using some gems to have the goblin builder and use the potions combined with the event boosts.

I buy the scenery and buy a gold pass, i want the AQ queen to couple with my RC. But i want so bad the decorations for my scenery. Can u guys have reccomendation?

I think about like this. The skin is only there for a temporary time but all those books and runes just speed up the process of things that are going to finish anyway lol I’m just going to be patient with my new queen skin

Yeah...thats true sir Jo..., I thought i could claim medals as long as the event is still going on but rather it ends so soon right on the bonus track itself, i was expecting all throughout the event it'll last but it doesn't... So must spend your medals wisely or for better and useful items to claim...thank you sir...!!!

It's gonna be the books of building for me. I'm ahead on hero upgrades and lab, so I really want to knock out some 17, 18 day defence upgrades on my TH14. Along with the book of everything in the event pass, the hero book in the silver pass and hopefully another book and a gold or DE rune in clan games, I'm gonna see a ton of progression this month.
