best way to make anchor from laed casting into a sand mold 2022

Just asking if what is the proper mixture of green sand? To make it real hard. Other molding process seams easy our casting here bit hard need to use force to make green sand hard

Якорь ⚓ есть, шипы есть, пробивай на лоб и ходи, будет не удобно, но выглядеть будет впечатляющие.

Try with dryer sand and talc powder to get a better finish.

В песок да ещё и влажный свинец лить как-то идиотски выглядит. Если уж в песок, то после вдавливания детали нужно хотя бы подсушить, а лучше прогреть перед заливкой. Тогда поверхность отливки будет гладкой и даже не требовать дальнейшей обработки.

А вы знаете как свинец лить. Лучше сделать смесь песка с жидким стеклом и обязательно просушить, поскольку может брызнуть металлом и мало не покажется. Да и песок лучше поискать и найти мелкий. Тогда действительно хорошее качество получится. Да наверное все советские мальчишки были литейщиками свинца.

Дома в печи можно что угодно переплавить латунь бронза и алюминь даже серебро.я в детстве с свинца шарики пули отливал на самопал дробь грузилья на рыбалку это не удевление

Although a bit on the wet side, this process is still used for manufacturing things from the engine block in your car to plumbing parts in your house.

Seems like a trip to the hospital and one ugly face for life.. I very curious..I believe its sand, chalk, and oil mix..I learned this in school about 40yrs ago..but forgot..its called sand casting..

@@Adam-im4hm, Sand casting is still used but, the moisture content is virtually nonexistent. Just enough to allow the mold to be rammed.

@@bobcat9314, Your close. It is sand casting of a sort. The real sand is called green and has sand, a little clay and is tempered with water. The oil you mentioned is used in petrobond sand with no water. Pretty good memory, you got the basics.

Это называется прибыль, она нужна чтоб воздуха меньше было в плавке, и изделие пролилось как следует, правда как правило ее делают сверху детали

Barely damp sand is fine. What can't figure is why he pokes all of those holes. They do nothing but, add crap to trim off.
