You deserve "Dorime" from me. I had been doing it reverse and not only wasting the all important micronutrients but the process of seiving was soooo tedious. Imagine seiving 3 25kg bags of fermented feed. It was so laborious. I can't thank you enough. You are Godsend😁😁😁

Great idea. I suggest however that the dru feed needs to sit in the fermented poddle for hours before the actual feeding occurs. This will allow the dry feeds to soak well and achieve high degree of digestability.

I agree with this 100%. I used to drain the water, then I discovered the water soluble nutrients will be lost, secondly by adding dry feed to the fermented feed the feed wasn't messy anymore. Their consumption rate reduced, plumage became more brilliant and water consumption reduced. Thanks for this video.

Can this be done on a large scale, with a couple rain barrels? Also, do you still feed the same amount of fermented feed as dry feed in the end? For instance, if I was feeding 20kg of dry feed originally(not fermented) and then feed 20kg of fermented feed in its place? Or do you feed more fermented feed than what it would have been dry, since some of it is water? Thanks so much for the video!

Had the dried mash that was added already been fermented? If so, do you save the result to dry out for adding to a wet mash later ? If so, it seems like some amount of very old mash will stay in the newer mashes. Is this bad?

You add dry mash. Nothing like previously fermented feed. You want to serve your feed fresh and give all nutrients. Thank you The feed you are fermenting has to be a balanced ration. It should meet the nutritional requirement of the class and age of chickens. That is in terms of %Crude Protein, Metabolisable energy, and more. This cannot be explained in a comment. All that and more are the things that I teach in my Poultry Feed Formulation Masterclass to help farmers understand and have control of their animal feeds and feeding.

If my layers normally eat 100kg a day and I’m planning to ferment their feed, how many kg should I reduce from the 100kg before I start so that I can save on the feed and not over feed them ?

@@diyagric how saving 50% comes from fermenting 50% and adding 50% at day 3?
