I ordered one as a gift for a family member. When it arrived I promptly ordered one for myself. I like it better than my Sinn. This watch it legit. (Also got the compass going to paracord that to my pack strap for a back up)

Saw and handled this watch in person today at the DC Watch Show. The Winfield Apex II is the real deal. Great review man, this piece is the truth.

First thing I noticed was the hour hand seems a mm or so short and I don't think I can unsee it now maybe in hand I'd have a different opinion Anyways I don't think it's a deal breaker for me either Thanks for sharing and Yes Sir May I Have Another 👍

Looks like good stuff.

If they would have put a date window at 4 that would be awesome, that movement is designed for it anyway , I have two daily wear watches with the same movement accurate and easy to wind on the off days

It’s a modified BSS Glock. The GunCo sells it as a kit. Like a survival kit with tomahawk and other gear in the case. I’ve got a review on it somewhere

Where is the watch made?? I see some very specific back story about him modding watches and the watches are tested in Ohio.. but no specifics on where the actual watch is made on the website.

You’re right, no info on where it’s “made.” But it has a $60 seiko movement. They claim it’s a japanese made movement. There is no way this watch is a “deal.” My guess is they assemble it in usa, but absolutely not “made in usa.”

@@AUXdrone NH movement is made by Seiko, but that could be in one of many factories. Watch cases are generally made in China (same for larger watch makers) that leaves hands, dials etc. The lume on the dial and assembly is done by a watch company in Mentor Ohio. Same company tests them. I don't see where anyone from Winfield has stated they are made in the USA.

Oh great, another huckster advertisement. “Best watch for the money,” not in any metric is this true. $465 for a seiko nh35 movement? Lol. 100m water resistance? Lol. It’s a basic $150 watch on the inside. “Regulated in 6 positions,” but not adjusted. Lol. It doesn’t look like a terrible watch, but “best” is laughable. Nice aesthetics but the whole big-watch fad is tacky. I’m sure it will run for many years being seiko guts and all but that price is insanely high for what you get and it’s not even scuba capable. This is another example of a brand selling low tier specs at mid tier prices. These boutique brands are out of their minds. Horology for the ignorant.

Any watch i would recommend to anyone would depend on that person’s situation. That could include a number of styles and makes. There is no one best value.
