It's neat how many diverse opinions about Tsons are. In this video it's mentioned that losing Magnus is pretty much game over but on another podcast with world class player Liam VSL said that losing Magnus is not a big deal and he's a great unit to soak up firepower.

Tier List Tuesday idea: Ranking all Battleline units. With the new missions around the corner, potentially focusing on benefits of Battleline units, I think that would be a good ranking.

I was today years old when I realized the wings from the AoW logo are inspired/from the 40k logo. Up until now I had no idea what those wings were supposed to represent.

And orks?? With double waagh and 15-18 meganobs+gazkul i dont know how to stop that. 30 points per meganob.... With invul + 4 fnp... Its just crazy.

I played tsons this past weekend, I definitely had the latter experience. I fired 5 doom bolts in a game and dealt a total of 11 mortal wounds. 0-4-drop. They definitely don’t forgive to miss plays

Yes we have a series of introductory videos to 10th edition that you can find under the how to play and 10th edition playlists if you sort by oldest to newest. Then once your comfortable with the fundamentals you can check out our massive content library at thewarroom.vhx.tv which is designed to get you the most up to date competitive info and help you skip the steep learning curve of 40k.

I do like that full "ignores modifiers" rules should ignore the 1ksons damage blanking strat since it modifies the damage characteristic of the failed save to 0.

As a Tsons player i 100% agree making a list for them is super not fun you just cant make diverse lists est... and yeah you just cant balance them with points anymore there points are super tight as is. Id love to see the book go in a direction where you have a set ammount of cabal points and have some charecters interact with the system... that way bringing say a rhino or a foregfiend est dont just feel like a cabal tax

I think this is list a bit skewed playing against Richard Siegler. Tau 2nd and Orks not even top 5?

Swap T'au Mont'Ka for Ork Bully Boys and the list is spot on

i LITERALLY had to move to playing against my boy who plays eldar while I was playing what I love to play (I play grey knights) which is termies and strikes and all infantry and he plays 20 warp spiders and dev wounds my entire army. so now I have to play dumb meta because devastating wounds ruins this edition. he literally runs an entire list that does devastating wounds against me and it makes me not want to play.

Tau is one of the weakest faction of the game with 41% winrates (meta Monday) and it is top 5 😂

​@kaliasfr General faction strength and faction strength for top tier players is very different. For a lot of casual/average players, t'au are meh, but they CAN be super scary when run by a top tier player and a properly optimized list.

​@@johnhildenbrand2642 you realize that Meta Monday and Stat-check track GT and Super Major statistics? Those are the higher end competitive players with optimized lists, and they're doing subpar at best, with their winrate being inflated by a few Kroot players doing well.

@@MrHoneuma Lots of people go to GT's and super majors, and they aren't all good. Don't look at overall rankings, look how t'au do at top tables against top armies, it tells a wildly different story than the overall picture. T'au is a very popular faction, and that means that a lot of people playing who are just there for having fun

And the iconic unit, Crisis suits, are bad. To win with Tau, don't take their iconic unit. And even then, I don't see them being 2nd best in the game. And Riptides are super swingy, they can do 0 damage or they can shred something.

Orks should get a mention. War horde, greent tide, dread mob, bullyboyz all strong. Maybe if siegler is playing tau they no2 but every game ive played vs them it felt like i had zero to be worried about (as court or orks)

Interesting and very good points are made in this video but it seems a bit weird to me to put "lists" in the title and then just focusing on units and factions. It's a good starting point but it would have been interesting with some list examples

I have to admit this kinda blows my mind Tau are in here and Orks aren't. I normally fully agree we you lads but you guys I'm guessing are judging purely off of playing Siegler lol. I have been a war room member for close to 2 years and took Sieglers Tau masterclass. I'm a strong player and play competitively with Tau and am pretty proud of where I am in the itc rankings (though I'm nowhere near your guys level). Tau have a 41% wr on goonhammer. They have an activation issue. They win cagey high level games where people expose one piece at a time. They lose on mid tables under pressure and multiple activations. That's happening a lot right now with csm and sons of san msu, wolves, green tide wraiths. It's very hostile to Tau. I agree "fast gun shoot good" should win (Anthony Vanella) on Stat check said the same but something with the army just doenst click. 21 inches on the breacherfish isn't enough to truly hit something behind cover in a deployment zone. Tau also die so fast an 80pts legionaries squad can pick up a full breacher package tank and character. Tau feel kinda opposite to sisters right now as in they look dope but it just doesn't come together to be more than it's parts. Anyway enough rambling. Thanks for the great vid!

Hopefully in 11th edition GW limits the amount of vehicles you can take in an army. The recent change that rewards you for taking more battleline it's a step in the right direction.
