So glad you posted your kit.com link. Cant tell you how useful this video was after spending two days trying to find the information you just shared. Thanks!!!
super dope explanation as always!! Thanks Parker, was planning for buying a video/portrait light for a while, and this will wrap my head around now.
BAM! Those are exactly the 5 things I am looking for in an LED light. You nailed it!
Thanks a lot for the recommendation man! You're a true inspiration to create some epic content!
Love these videos man! Gets me hyped to keep making videos!
Really great video. Just super to the point, get me what I need to know and share your personal experience. Thank you!
Great stuff man, these are the qualities I'm looking for in lights as well, I just didn't have it pinned down to 5 distinct reasons.
you channel is golden. Nice job keep it up
Price is the killer. Since I dropped one of my expensive LED light panels in the water and don't want to fork out a ton of money to replace it, I am making my own LED flex lights using LED strips. The strips are rated at 95+CRI and for $200 Cdn, I have all the parts I need to make two 1'x1' light panels. The DIY lights that I am making are bi-color simply by using two different color temperature LED strips and two separate pulse with modulators. Thanks to Matt at DIY Perks for the instructional video.

Good to know. 👍
Dope video man, I'm going to purchase this light. It's fits exactly my needs.
Thanks, this was hugely the advice I needed!
Great packet of information, Big Thanks!
thank you for sharing your effort to educate us about led. Are there alternatives to above LED panel as it is not available in our market
Looks like a killer setup! May have to pick this kit up!
Hell yeah, thanks for the review!!!
Great video and info.
Great tutorial !

Falcaneyes do a copy of this flex light I have two of the 18’s model and two of the smaller ones Not as much out put as the westcotts but HEAPS CHEAPER westcotts prices are a joke I have two of the flex lights they are good but both my dimmers Fried so I have expensive Mats I’m working out what to do with
This is soundtrack behind remember a The Fifth Element movie haha awesome!
nice video, is it better than rotolight neo 2 ?
Can i have a question @Parker Walbeck There are many types of light (led, tungsten, kino flo,...) So which one should be used in the right situation? Can you help me answer this or it will be better if you make a video about the matter above i've told Thanks I love your channel
This video was great and exactly what I have been searching for tonight, that is until I saw the price. Can you make a similar video for us guys that do more low end production freelance stuff? I'm searching all over for a video before I purchase my on location lights. My budget is around $600. I always enjoy your content which is why I am requesting it from you! I enjoy your execution!
Would you recommend this for beauty videos?
Can you point me to where to get the tall light diffuser and stand? I've looked on Kit and i see nothing like it in your list. Thanks!
TLCI is a better way of measuring color accuracy. CRI is only relevant when looking at the light in real life. TLCI is how the camera itself sees the light.
Would love to see a lens review on your thoughts Between zoom and prime :)
Thanks for the clear video 🙏🏻... was just wondering if you could tell me what camera is good for night photography and videography.thanks for your time 😊

Great video content! Sorry for chiming in, I would appreciate your thoughts. Have you heard the talk about - Piyason Videographic Ventures (Sure I saw it on Google)? It is a great one off product for creating your own viral video without the headache. Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my close friend Aubrey at very last got amazing results with it.
do you recommend any thing a bit more budget friendly for noobs?
How many lights are available in this pack ??? only two ??
Do you have a cheaper recommendation?

Sold! If only I had 3k to spend on it...
nice
is this as bright as the intellytech 2x2?
@bgbrandon06
5 жыл бұрын
Way brighter than Intellytech. The 1x1 Westcott is 2200 LUX and the 2x2 Intellytech is 903 LUX. You get more than twice the output with the Westcotts and 1/4 the size.
what a budget friendly light:-)

Why don't people talk about TLCi? That's so important too. Many light companies are now revealing their TLCi in their products. Should be in the mid to high 90's too. " Aladdin lights " show a CRi and TLCi of 97 " now that's great!
@bgbrandon06

Great point! TLCI on the Westcott lights are 98.6

This video is a whole flex
I have two of these and both dimmers fried them selfs they were over the warranty and to replace the dimmers for just the daylight is $500 au ! That’s expensive!!! Now I have two mats I don’t know what to do with as over $1000 to replace both dimmers that’s 3 falconeyes
Yikes when did Westcott start selling lights for 3 grand? Dang i thought they sold cheap gear. What's this CRI thing you mentioned? I've never heard of such a thing having to do with accurately rendering skin tones.

wescott is gonna go out of business like Bowens , prices way too high for their stuff..
Kino Flo LED, eh? Hmm...
3k 😅
This just made me feel beyond poor lol. I can’t pay for lights lol. Beginning is so hard. The standard is so high and noobs just can afford to do it. I’m literally using my iPhone , a small light ring and and a desk lamp to run my channel
FOSITAN FL-1x2 2nd Gen Portable Rollable for $150 same quality. check reviews
3k for 2 1x1, sure
this video brought to you by wescott flex kit. You cam make these for a fraction of the cost, yourself. takes about a day. and under 100 bucks. search "DIY perks." on youtube.
Video ir 4 years old and that kit got 600$ more expensive 😄
someone tell this guy that what he does is not film making he is a video editor film making involved script writing, directing, casting, cinematography etc he if full time video editor
$3488????? My god!
this kit is $3500, damn, that's the price of an A7siii. What about affordability for us humble peasants my lord? we grovel at your feet for your wisdom
Flicker depends on the power supply, not on the LED itself. AC power produces flickering. Poor quality AC/DC adapters produce some flickering. A pure DC (or battery packs you are using) cannot produce flickering because that is pure DC. Its not LEDs that matter here. And, yes, CRI is important.
TLCI is just as important if not more..To me those lights are over priced..
This is like saying a Ferrari is the best car. Makes sense but if few people can actually afford it does it matter?
Paid review not honest
You don’t know what you’re talking about. If you’re indoors you’re light would be at 3200 K
hey you look like Donald Trump....
