Great video Parker. The single best tip in this video is this. "I wasn't very good back then" Now you are rocking it and I love how you are not afraid to show your earlier work and point out things you did wrong. Not just because everyone can learn from that, but because everyone can get the idea that it's OK to not be amazing when we start out. That's part of the process and instead of getting stuck in, I'm not good enough, I don't have the right gear, I don't have the right lights, I don't have... we just need to keep pressing forward, creating and learning. After a few years we'll hopefully be like... Parker Walbeck! ;-)

watching the evolution in ones craft is one of my favorites. complete night & day difference between both videos. reminds me when id write a song, i felt it was great for a week but then it would suck a month later, then repeat the process over and over, it never ends as were always learning.

Dude what in the hell, this was fantastic. The shots looked amazing. LOVED how you broke this video down, all the pre and post lighting, flashbacks to previous videos done at said location. Video was perfectly paced and showed explanations in a practical way. Seriously, SO helpful. So glad I found the channel! Definitely going to check out your course as well

Fun to see you shoot in this location! I’ve shot a few weddings here and the lighting is always rough with the mix of natural light from the big windows to all the yellow light inside. I love the location but trying to get shots that I actually like in there without being able to really control any of the lighting at an event always makes me feel like I’ve got my hands tied behind my back. Love what you did with your lighting in this video!

I just want to point out how important lighting is, especially the color of it, and white balance. The after looks much cleaner (white makes things look clean and a good "white" light that is not too much blue can make a huge difference) compared to the sun lit one especially since the sun light floods the run and blows a lot of things. Also control lighting can create the depth you want and give the picture a certain feel. It's nice to see the progression in a video and see how much of a difference a few changes can make.
