I have the little brother to this one and I honestly cant fault it. When Im at home I have my work laptop connected to it and also a PC that I use to access data. Using this KVM im able to effortlessly flick between the two of the devices. It looks good, its well built (as you would expect from Ugreen) and so far its not let me down. thanks bob, it is a great KVM and the option to transfer larger files is a real bonus for anyone that works from home. It is better than the kvm built in to some monitors these days.

it is really good, and i have enjoyed using it. I have a monitor with a KVM built in and it isn't as slick as this, although the monitor KVM also allows for DP connections which allows higher refresh times on the monitor

These are quite handy i used to use them with Having PS4 Xbox One and PC all on one screen when i started i used it to easily switch HDMI without having to fiddle around behind the TV when its flat on a wall very handy for set ups.. Does this one alow multi screen ? so i mean like replicate the image 3 x for eg a Channel logo on 3 screens etc ? and thanks for the info as always Mike and Kath hope your both well

Hello! Great review! Though I have a question, I have this UGreen CM662 product that has USB Type C, would you know if monitor that has a USB Type C is compatible on the KVM switch?

Ugreen is a brand that always delivers imo. Have to admit I am a little confused here, is this unit used to share mouse and keyboard betwix devices or to share devices with one tv/monitor? If the latter why not just use the hdmi ports on tv as i have 4 on my old Sony? Thanks for reviewing Mike and Kath 👍

this switches the keyboard, the mouse and the monitor between two pcs or a pc and console. it can save space if you don't have room for two monitors and two sets of keyboards and mice. or don't have the money to afford those

The4 control cable should be on the rear to minimize the things sticking out from the front

@@mikesunboxing I just had one of these delivered to replace my basic Ugreen USB only switcher and I realise to my horror that it only has HDMI ports, no DP. This is my fault for not looking at the specs properly, but who wants two HDMI in current year? The use case for these things is to connect a laptop as well as your PC to a single monitor, and who wants to run HDMI these days from a modern GPU? nobody. My laptop is also having issues connecting my Logitech wireless keyboard which worked no problem on the old USB switch either.

i am wondering if usb mics will alao work on its usb ports?

I was hoping I was going to see in this vid you actually wiring up 2 PC's to 1 Monitor. I am not a technophobe. Do you actually need to wire both the HDMI cables and the USB cables to the 2 PC's and if so is there a specific USB port to use.

yes the two pcs both need to be wired to the hub with the HDMI and USB cables. it is marked on the hub which ones these plug into. then connect your monitor and other USB devices to the other section and it acts as a pass through. again it is pretty clearly marked on the hub and in the manual if needed

Amazon page says that you can't connect a USBC only laptop/ device eg with a dock, to this? Is that true

@@mikesunboxing The Amazon page specifies it in the description, I'm not sure what they mean exactly. You need to connect from your computer to the USB-B and HDMI inputs of the switch. My laptop (yogabook 9i) only has 3 thunderbolt 4 ports, so I would use a hub or adapters - USB to HDMI, USBC to A. But it sounds like that might not work.

Switch speed for mouse/keyboard? How many seconds?
