Important to note as well, that the fume also doubles as a makeshift shield with good stability and 80% physical reduction, justifying it's weight, and that i automatically block when you enter the weapon art.

That intro is absolutely phenomenal! Such badass transitions! Love this! My favorites were always astora, black knight, lothric knight, greatsword, cathedral knight, and profaned Ultra greatswords! I love many of the standard greatawords too! Awesome editing! I come back to this video every one in a while! :') awesome stuff! 😁👍🏻

At around a minute in was the smoothest set of transitions I've ever seen. Props to whoever did that.

Black Knight Greatsword is my favorite member of the UGS family. Almost as great as its older brother, BKGA. The hyper armor you get with the black knight weapons is unreal and it never fails to amaze me how mercilessly it can flatten bosses and players alike. Those heavy attacks are out of this world too

My pick : Black Knight Greatsword, can be farm early at Farron Keep perimeter. No need to worry and infusion and buff. The damage are high, good in Pvp and PVe.

Personally, I _LOVE_ the Greatsword. The heavy two handed attack, when charged, is almost a guaranteed knockdown should it connect, and is probably among the highest damage attacks in the game, when it comes to purely physical damage. It also is one of 2 UGS's with a rolling attack that slashes, rather than thrusts, which is nice.

Also infusing it with dark gives you an A scaling in both intelligence and faith. I think a heavy infusion gives it an S scaling for strength but i could be wrong

Can't exactly tell how you're doing all this, but I will say that it'd be a million times easier on PC. So build a PC. Build a PC and come get the fistins. I gotta stick with THE LEGEND THAT NEVER DIES!! Seriously tho, I like Astora's, but the Zwi just have more fun factor for me and I feel like it's got just the right amount of range and moveset variation to really confuse people in PVP, and is very effective for PVE as well. Also, it's moveset works well 1 or 2 handed, so even if you suck at weapon-swapping you can still have a chance at parrying if you have a shield in your off-hand.

@@andryuu_2000 most build variety throughout the games in my opinion, and PvP is awesome. Only thing is, everybody moved to ds3 for PvP, and disregard or dont even know about the cool PvP there. It's got more of a strategic and decisive playing, but predominantly ds3 or bloodborne players might not prefer that.

Fume UGS is best UGS. If you've got more than 10 DEX, you're doing it wrong.

eh, I have 20 in dex and use FUGS. why 20 dex? because I wanted the ability to try out any other blade at will. need more dex to match base stat, hunter's ring. my meta build may not be optimal for those other weapons but I have fun. Anyway, love the FUGS, even after nerf. serves me well in both PvE and PvP.

It's actually a cross between the original Golden Age Greatsword and the Dragonslayer In DS1 it was just straight up the main Golden Age sword, but in DS2 and 3 it got widened till it was almost as wide as the Dragonslayer.

Heavy Infused Greatsword is also an excellent choice for STR Builds. Long range, big damage, and a good moveset with wide sweeping horizontal attacks make it great for crowd control.

I like my zwei for several reasons. 1)for nostalgia 2)no greatswords have great run attacks, or fast swings, and zwei is the easiest to use with an offhand weapon 3) decent moveset

Dude, that's some kickass transition work in the beginning, and paired with "Metal Gear Saga", no less! Great choice!

I think the Lothric Greatsword for faith builds has more potential when infused with a blessed gem. The lightning damage makes it stronger while blessed. I have quite a bit of dex as well so it’s just the perfect weapon for me.

I use the profaned greatsword, because it really sings to me in a way. I use it in the arena and it absolutely decimates the other person or team. So this one has my vote.

C/D is basically Quality. The scaling is similar in Strength and Dexterity. You get more AR on a Greatsword/Zweihänder on a Qualitybuild than on a Strengthbuild. For me, thats quality, but that was (and is) discussed since the release of Dark 1.

AnonymMC You'll get a higher ar on any weapon with a quality build. Even if its D that's still some amount of scaling. What determines if a weapon is quality or not is if both scalings are roughly equal, so C/C, and how much influence over the AR they have. The great sword gains way more AR per point of strength than it does dexterity. That makes it a strength weapon. The claymore however gained the same amount of AR for one as the other. Quality weapons don't favor one stat over the other. There really isn't anything to be discussed. Its very clear among the community what a quality weapon is. Thats been the case since demon's souls came out.

"Hey guys remember that awesome weapon that could block and attack? Yeah we can't be bothered to recreate that so we'll just chuck it's model on a Cathedral Knight Sword with a Black Knight Greatsword weapon art...."

For me what makes the Farron Greatsword so good for me is if you use it's sliding weapon artr while you and an enemy are charging at each other you can use the arte to get behind enemies. not only that the dagger can stagger enemies also if you have more stamina to continue the Arte its an unstoppable combo. I love this sword a lot.

Lorian's Greatsword is my favorite for high level. Im currently playing a PvE pyromancer, so its rocking pretty hard. Killed invaders with it as well. I love Stomp WA, its just so good,.

Profaned Greatsword is my absolute favorite Ultra greatsword. Not too heavy, deals great damage and poise damage which is great for ganks! And the weapon art which sets the sword on fire while swinging it in the air and gets extra fire damage. And it looks great as well. 100% one of my favorites!

Watching you parry with a greatshield deserves its own category of awesome. I don't mean "that's pretty awesome" awesome, I mean the awesome that was used to describe God's wrath in the Old Testament. That kind of awesome, that makes you feel scared, and inspired, at the same time. Thank you, for opening this possibility to me. EDIT: There's no way I am going to not make this happen on one of my runs..

I tried a build of dexterity+strength, and I powered up to 10 the lothrics knight ultragreatsword. It does 800 damage infused with a refined gem two handed with 40 dex and 50 strength. I also tried the astoras ultragreatsword with the same character and same stats, and it's true that it's very useful in pvp, but I definitely think that the best ugs is the Lothrics ugs because of its damage and it's two hand attacks.
