Nice to hear it helps!:) It's just in the field review, nothing scripted:) I see now, I was a pretty destroyed after hikking the PCT:-)) Fizan Compact trekking poles are just great - I haven't mentioned in the review on important thing: my knees are not in the best shape, so I was using it almost for every step of the 6000 km. There was a lot of pressure on them especially when hikking downhill.

I`ve broken a pair of these poles after only 350 km on rugged mountain terrain. Also there are some technical inconsistencies with the weight and the size of the collapsed poles. I made a through review of them after I broke them, because I think they are one of the best poles out there, but they also have some shortcomings worth mentioning.

Hi mate, Thank You for review... I buyed 2 of them green and red for me and my father. Can You give me advice.. In UK on rocks ground should I use sharp end or put rubbers on ? Thank You. Sorry I always walk without them and don't have a knowledge. Thank You!. :)

Hello Tommy, great choice! :-) Use the sharp end, the rubber is good for indoor like wooden floor or slippery materials. We actually never use the rubber ends. Just another tip: In case you break one of the bottom parts, usually you get the part for free by the seller or just a few pounds. We had a replacement after 11 000 km:-):-) Happy hiking!

They say the collapsed poles are about 59 cm. What is the length of the longest part of the 3 when taken apart? I was wondering if it would fit in the common 55 cm limit for hand luggage in airplanes.

  • @EasyTrail

Ondro, it is simple:( You can't take poles into the plane anyway:/ (same for tent pegs..:/).

True, you're right. You can only take it to the checked luggage. If it's not a problem for you, could you please measure it anyway? It indeed is ridiculous these regulations sometimes.
