If you open an encyclopedia, you'll learn that there are different seasons in Jamaica and all your travel guides would suggest that the best time to visit Jamaica is WINTER. However, is it really true? This video will show not only what the best time to visit Jamaica is, but also why it is so.
We'll talk about dry season and rainy season and if there is really a difference between them. What about hurricanes in Jamaica? How often do they happen and what are the ways to avoid them. I will also share tips on where it's better to stay in Jamaica to avoid rain and when you should come to avoid crowds. Please watch this video if you wish to find the answer to the common questions "when is the best time to travel to Jamaica?".

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
====
My name is Irina Bruce. I'm originally from Ukraine, but I've been living in Jamaica since 2014.
I chose Jamaica because it is one of the best countries in the world, and yes, I had travelled the world for many years before I chose Jamaica as the place to relocate.
This channel is to share my experience of living in Jamaica as a foreigner and, hopefully, my tips will help other travellers who are planning their vacation in Jamaica.

    Your channel is underrated! You need more subscribers!!! This is top-notch marketing for Jamaica. I see so many Jamaican KZreadrs with many subscribers and views and their contents are mundane, banal and lack creativity. I guess you have to start from scratch. I subscribed to your channel by just watching one video. Keep up the good work.

    She is rising and will grow rapidly. True what you said about the other Jamaican vloggers. I see that most of them are young and self centered. Irina is quite the opposite. she is sharing knowledge and information about the island. So far, the other two KZreadrs I see, who are on par with her are Kareem LaTouche from "Kareem's Quest" and Jamieson Daley. Only that Jamieson 's videos are more on the artistic and cinematic spectrum, but highlights the Jamaican experience non the less. I was telling her about that before. She is going to blow up rapidly. You just watch.

Short term goal of mine is to engage more with the island and go off the beaten path and explore the beauty the island 🌴 has as well as its history. AMAZING 😉 videos, glad I stumbled onto your page. I've been to Jamaica in June, July, November, December - pretty much every month of the year. Never had bad weather - sure it rained (more like showered) but it was over in about 20 minutes and that just made it more lush and beautiful. Hopefully, I'll be back in back in November for my 65th birthday.

    @@levochance01 Hi Levent, you might want to check the weather before you depart. But like I said, I've been to Jamaica all times of the year and it usually showers for about 20 minutes to half an hour and then it's just sunny and beautiful again. I've sat in the ocean with the rain pouring down on me and just enjoyed Mother Nature's liquid sunshine. The water is so warm that you don't feel unsafe or anything. Jamaica is beautiful, the people are warm and welcoming. Make sure you drink a few Red Stripes, have some jerk chicken for dinner and ackee and salt fish for breakfast. Buy only real Jamaican gifts (buy your rum at the airport - otherwise you will have to check it into your luggage) and just enjoy the Caribbean sunshine. Like they say in Kingston, "take care and walk good."

    I am a born Jamaican in my 40s, living on the U.S. 14 years now. I am from Westmoreland, never visited Portland but for the past 6 years or so, it has started to become my favorite parish. The most beautiful places I have seen in Jamaica that gave this country the title paradise, is in this parish. I want to get me some land there when I come back home.

    Another Great video👍 The biggest mistake about *Jamaica* are that it's tiny and hot. However as you so eloquently clarify it is a very large island and the mountain temp are generally 10 degrees cooler than at sea level. The *Blue Mountain Peak* is the coldest place in the *English Speaking Caribbean* with temps going as low as freezing points on occasions between November to March. A few years ago our temperature gauge hit 37 degrees, which is 3 degrees celcius. Places like *Manchester* and *Northern Clarendon* usually gets chilly during the winter too... The south coast is more arid with a desert like heat to it, in places like *Vere* and *Treasure beach* *Jamaica* weather- wise is very diverse.....👍🇯🇲👍

    Yes the temperature is hot in jamaica but if your hot just grab a cool jelly and kich back under a coconut tree that's what i did or just goo to the beach. Yes the temperature is a bit high down here but instead of complaining try to find a solution to it.... come on it's 2020 and global warming is every where

    We just returned from jamaica- we saw the school children walking home with umbrellas to keep hot sun off their heads- the uniforms that the girls wore were such long dresses- looked heavy & hot to be out in sun with. As far as rain, we left negril & somewhere just before lucea, it was a downpour for 7 minutes- no good drainage- luckily it came & was gone fast! By the time we were getting back into montego bay- sun shining brightly !
