Yesterday I saw three vidoes of lions vs tigers and in all those tigers surrendered to lions. In one video, a lion had scared away 3 tigers alone. In another video a baby lion was chasing away a baby tiger. And in another video the lion had forced tiger to run away by just roaring and posturing. In my opinion tigers may be physically stronger than lions but they are not psychologically as tough as lions are. Lions have victors' mentality, the sheer will of never surrendering and the badass attitude of a king whereas tigers are only good at becoming bodygards since they are physically stronger than lions.

It’s not just because it sounds terrifying I think. Tiger roars are extremely low-frequency, so much so that they are inaudible, and low-frequency noises apparently trigger extreme fear in humans.

That’s untrue. I live in Texas and own a 4 year old siberian. The roar is like the bark of a dog or the chirping of birds; it is what you make of it. You can be terrified or you can choose to not give a shit and roar back like I always do.

@@spidermansbffl lions are social animals, they will roar to tell their pride whats up from great distances so thats why they are loud. A tigers roar is a tool used for hunting and fighting so its more feral sounding but not as loud since they will usually only roar point blank.

I can DEFINITELY hear in the tiger's growls where in different movie/game carnivorous dinosaurs utilized these sounds!

This isn't too scarey because a big cat like that would seem to have a deep growl. What would be WAAAAY scarier would be if a tiger made a meow like a domesticated cat. Can you imagine hearing a meow and going "is that you Mittens?" and seeing that monster instead? Horrifying.
