I agree with all those places, yet I would add Haw Par Villa which is also a wonderful and one of a kind place in SG.

Hihi! I live in Singapore. Singapore is great to go all year round, the weather is quite similar every month. But if you hate the heat (like me) and want more cooling weather, Nov - Jan!

For me i like to go to east coast park, "Lagoon" on FRIDAY - SUNDAYS night. They have alooot of good food there. Do try the sugar cane drinks, satays and hokkien mee! :) It's just beside the beach.

Wonderful city. Im planning yo come on july august to singapore with my kid. But ive read a lot of articles about the high risk of dengue fever there specially in summer. So im really worried to the point of thinking of cancelling the trip. Hiw do you deal with it? Do you apply mosquito repellent all day?

I personally don't think it's as bad as it seems, ive never had dengue before, and from my whole family of 4 only my dad got it once in his life. As long as u stay away from construction sites, its usually OK!

No it's very common for locals to get cheap n good food there, as staple meals. I eat at hawkers often too.

If you wanna go slow and relaxed, probably 2 - 3 days. Would recommend the zoo / mandai / Bird's paradise too, those will at least take a day.

What is the "free roaming Bird Paradise"? And may I know the official name? Thanks!
