You ought to move back if you like nature and easy, quiet life style as I have been to Las Cruces 3 times thinking to move. It is a nice and clean city with lots of open space. The main thing is the housing cost is still attractive there even though it doubled in price before COVID started. It is mainly good for retired folks to enjoy rest of their lives.
