Tungtaek dessert with coconut topping is the original. The egg yolk topping just came up in recent years. It's delicious!

Hi guys and Welcome to Thailand. Wang Lang was my all time favourite place for many delicious foods since I was young. I love Khanom Krok and Khanom Tangtaek. It's my fav snack. It's quite hard to find Kanom Tangtaek in Bangkok but that vendor is the famous one. Hope you have a great time in Thailand.

Absolutely love coconut. Egg yum. More coconut yummy. Delicious pancakes. Soup looked yummy. Love omelettes. I would have had a Coke to wash it down with. Delicious coconut crepes. 🇹🇭 Kanom Krok (coconut cream pancake) should seperate a pair of it before eating, becuase it will burst when biting.

I agree with Steve's assessment of Thipsamai - I wasn't a fan of it at all. It has WAY too much of a fishy taste due to the shrimp oil. I couldn't eat it at all despite how popular the brand is with tourists. I much prefer the smoky taste of Fai Ta Lu, which has a Michelin bib gourmand recommendation. I think that is the best pad thai I've had in Thailand, including more "authentic" mom and pop restaurants and stalls.

We will definitely have to check out Fai Ta Lu the next time we are in Bangkok, most people only say to spend a few days in Bangkok, but the city is so big and there is so much to eat and do it is impossible to get everything done in 3 or 4 days. Thanks so much for watching!

You can't book Jay Fai a month in advance, they actually do not take bookings. You need to be there at around 7am (by latest 8am to get a chance) to line up and register your name on the list for that day at around 9am when they open. Once the list is full that's it for the day which you will have to come back another day.

มะพร้าวกับกุ้งเข้ากันได้ดีกับขนมบึงเลย!

อาหารไทยที่เป็นประเภทกับข้าว เช่นพวกต้มยำ ซุป หรือผัดต่างๆ ส่วนใหญ่คนไทยจะกินพร้อมกับข้าวสวย ไม่นิยมกินกับข้าวอย่างเดียว เพราะรสชาติมันจะเข้มข้นมาก แต่ถ้ากินคู่กับข้าวสวยมันจะเป็นการผสมผสานรสชาติที่อร่อยมาก ต่างชาติส่วนใหญ่ไม่รู้วิธีกินที่ถูกต้อง และคนไทยใช้ช้อนกินข้าว ไม่นิยมใช้ส้อมในการตักอาหาร ลองสังเกตุวิธีกินของคนไทยดูครับ แล้วคุณจะค้นพบวิถีความเป็นไทย และรสชาติความอร่อยที่แท้จริง

I'm sure it's definitely not bean sprouts and morning glory. It's lemongrass, galangal, added flavor (we don't eat them) and mushrooms. And that Pad Thai It doesn't taste as delicious as before. Most of them are tourists who go to eat, not Thais.

Aghhh thank you for letting us know. It makes sense as lemongrass makes everything taste so good. Steve didn't think it was the best Pad Thai he had either, definitely hear you.

PadThai in Thailand usually tastes juicier & better than in USA. Kranom krok ( coconut cream pancakes in a half sphere shape)usually be sold in a set (ex: 5 or 10pairs/set), now you can buy this dessert at Trader Joe's in USA.

When eat thai food you should do it properly. Always eat every foods with rice. It is made to eat together not alone for example curry or soup it is better with rice. And always use spoon and fork together not fork alone. That will make you enjoy Thai foods.
