This is all true about la Vernia
My daughter and son in law are moving to La Vernia. Their new house is in escrow they just found out by accident that they are not supposed to build anything 40 feet from the back of their 1/2 acre property. Is that true? The real estate agent did not disclose that information. My son in law wanted to build a workshop in the back of the property but when getting bids for a fence the person they contacted said you can't build anything 40 feet from back of your property. Can you shed light on this?

It’s all based on the deed restrictions for the community. Depending the neighborhood is what dictates that. It would all be on the survey! If they’re in the option period or with the HOA contingency period, there’s ways to potentially back out without losing their earnest money.
Another great video! The information is excellent and very well delivered. I’m planning to move to SA from Bend, OR this late summer/early fall (looking for warmer weather & bigger town). I’m planning to rent for about a year to get a feel of the different areas. Would like to be about 15-20 minutes from downtown. Are there any neighborhoods you recommend that have lush vegetation, more established & character, and walkable to local restaurants & shops?

Thank you! I really appreciated that! San Antonio is not super walkable unfortunately but the areas that are would be closer to downtown. Anything around The Pearl District or up along Broadway from The Pearl towards the Terrell Hills/Alamo Heights area.
