I scored this compact digital zoom point and shoot for $50 at a second hand store and was blown away by the quality of the images!
The Panasonic Lumix LX5 has a Leica F2 - F3.3 lens and with only 10 megapixels it produces a beautiful film like look!

From my research last night, this was the last and newest Lumix LX? series that had the CCD sensor. The LX7 had a MOS sensor and then they moved to CMOS after that.

Vi un vídeo ayer de un aficionado que estaba probando ese modelo de cámara Lumix, y hablaba que cuando hacia retratos, no le gustaba como quedaban los colores de la piel. Pero mirando sus fotos, creo que esa cámara, si da muy buenos resultados. Me gustan sus fotos y sus colores tan bellos y tan bien captados por su cámara. No sé por qué ese fotógrafo aficionado decía eso.

Hi Liam …some great images. I have the LX7 which I have taken off the shelf to use again (I’m usually a MFT shooter). I save in RAW and jpeg. Although jpegs are good straight out of camera I have used Lightroom to adjust RAW images with pleasing results. The form factor of the LX3 , LX5 and LX7 are very similar , easy to pocket and discreet when using in public areas. The LX7 also has a built in ND filter.

Like others have commented, nice video. I have the LX7 and take similar photos. I also have an older DSLR that I just don’t use because it is too bulky and too heavy. The small Lumix is just so much fun to always take with you and it does take great pictures.

Very nice collection of photos from your LX5, and I loved the music choice. Can you tell me who the artist was? I have an LX100 M2 but have been thinking of getting one of these LX5. Problem is, their prices on eBay are approaching their original retail prices. The ones that are under US$200 look well used.

Can i adjust the manual exposure and live display the exposure too in the lcd? I bought the fujifilm but the display is still in manual mode. I just curious with lumix, is that like fujifilm or different?
