Shimano vanford is better than stradic

The only gripe I have with this reel is the weight, but that goes with the size of the reel kzread.infoUgkxM68VkfsQhHaabDce1IwOCXuvumcpbZ_k . I brought this salmon fishing up in Oswego, NY. I coupled it with a Cabela's Whuppin Stick. I had no problem pulling in a 14lb salmon. I will probably use this for surf fishing this summer and downgrade to a 3500 series Battle II next salmon season to save my wrists. All of the operations are butter smooth and the bail is nice and thick and has a solid flip to it. Everything about this reel is sturdy and strong. The drag system held up to the salmon and was also super smooth. I did use a scale to set the drag properly before going out to the river and this worked out tremendously. A bunch of other guys on the river would hook up and snap almost immediately. Just because you have a good drag system doesn't do anything if you don't set it correctly.

The Ceymar is crazy good. And for less than $60 with an aluminum spool and handle. Super smooth too. I likey!

I’ve had my Zebco 1 for 50 years and it works just like my brother gave it to me great drag cast far and Only needed one line holder on the spool that’s pretty good for 50 years long with my made in France Mitchell s 308 408 410 drags are in the spools no washers on the stem rod push button release deep and shallow yes all Polly or plastic Never had troubles there 40 years plus still rock My penns 140 146 are the same sold the 116 h and 0/9 06 s

I just ordered the cxt-10 too, with an Okuma Celilo rod to go for x-mas present. Although this list I have very little confidence for, shouldn't the Shimano ci4+ and the Abu Garcia Revo MGX take the two highest spots? Also the Daiwa Exceler should be on here too.

I have an okuma ceymar it is one of my favorite reels

Recently purchased a Penn Clash II in 2500 and 4000 sizes. Really nice reels! As are the reels in this list...Penn has really stepped their game up over the last few years with their new spinning reel models and improved older models...

I worked at the largest fishing retailer in Maryland and in the Florida Keys trust me this is the way to go also I have to announce that I have had two okuma spinning reels and the only reason I had two is it was replaced under warranty because the first one I broke the main gear on a 5 lb black sea bass which the real was way oversized anyway never buy okuma you will be unsatisfied most likely guaranteed

Pflueger reels, Shimano, Abu Garcia , Lews are all in my top list for fresh water for Bass or what ever, but had to say Pflueger beats them all as far as durability and a long lasting reel, there reels feel the same years after you use it on a regular basis, Buy every single model has water proof issues, I wish all these manufacturers solve this problem !!! I’f you put your rods on deck on a bass boat the odds of them getting soaked is just going to happen,

Pfhluger and Abu Garcia both made in the same Chinese shop.

And hopefully When you are out on the boat you don't hear your son say " DAD YOUR ROD" only to look over the side of the boat and see your new rod and reel sink towards the bottom .. True story ,,, the next day i went back to Gander Mtn to buy the same reel again ..There was a Gander employee near by as i looked at the reels i told my sad story to her , turns out she was the store manager and from hearing my story gave me ten dollars off the same reel ..I thought that was really nice.. (that gander mtn has since been replaced with sportsmans warehouse)

@@whitetroutchannel Lol ive fished most of em i just know for a fact that penn/okuma/kastking/abu are all assembled of premade chinese parts.. if u want quality in a 100-200 dollar pricepoint u shouldnt look farther then daiwa/shimano.. and this list even has the old stradic fk in when the newer fl has a lot of improvements.. and is lighter.. at the same pricepoint.. its very simple to me just get a stradic fl.. or a daiwa ballistic LT or any of the more expensive reels of bolth brands.. ald ull be gud.. on the other hand maybe waiting for the new series of ci4+ reels from shimano or the newer LT series from daiwa to show op would be good aswell.. since its about time they release some stuff for their 2021 catalog (and also its been bout the 2 year period for a renewal)..

@@markbiondolillo8858 a kast king reel or an okuma reel is never going to be in a top 10 let alone top 3 reels especially for spinning. The top 10 spinning reels are all shimano daiwa and van staal, none of the ones on this list are top 10 except maybe the stradic.
