Hi Gareth, thanks for dropping a comment, of course I try to be inclusive of all markets for my viewers! I'm also surprised Blisslights haven't looked to include smart integration yet. I suspect because they sell so many units already and don't want to increase the price for the wifi/bluetooth and price of building an app. I do think they could simply make the projector function so if you cut power when you power back on it automatically turns on instead of having to press the button on the side, it's a small change they could make and that would allow us to use smart outlets to get some very basic functionality! I've seen another KZreadr literally mod his Blisslights to function in this way.

This is an amazing review. So well done and very thorough!

I like the additional features but same question as the last video. Can you lay it on its side without causing it to burn up? Can you adjust the dimensions of the overall image? How far can it throw the image and still have a decent projection?

@@naeem.a3984 Probably the one in this video. Only cause it changes colors and keeps that same good quality. The other one is also amazing, it’s just only in the color blue with blue stars, making it pretty unique looking.

Do these work well in a Home Theater. I have a Sony 4k projector. So I wouldn’t want it to interfere with that. Which star projector should I get given my situation?

This is your second video I watched and I already subscribed after the first video. I have been thinking if I should get any and which star projectors should I buy. I love lights and stars. I received one as a gift more of a light projector, great for parties. Now I want one that’s more for nature stars. Your videos are very details and helpful. I’m glad I found you.

Great vid very well done! My only beef with this projector are the ⭐️ stars… way too linear, not enough randomization on the pattern of stars itself. When was the last time you looked up on a starry night and saw row upon row of stars, lined up in a straight line?

Thanks for everything you do here though my credit card bills may disagree with that statement. I have used so much of the knowledge I have gained from your channel to help build out my own apt the way I want. Is the specific unit you are reviewing in this segment the Encalife or something else? The link on Amazon is not available but somehow I ended up on the Encalife site which said their galaxy projector is a pre-order. Thanks!

Hi Calum, The voice commands are all done with the Amazon Alexa Echo unit. You can switch the wake-up word to computer! I also show make note in the video how to add the Smart Star Projector to Alexa in the video! Good luck!

Loving the smart star projector! Question is this "Encalife Atmosphere" the orginal maker of this and other similar units knockoffs? found this one more expensive but seems high quality. Got a bad unit but after replacement it been working great and is quiet too

It's unclear where the original design originated, but the Atmosphere was one of the first for sure on the market.

Great video! Just ordered the Blisslight and cancelled it in time after watching your video. Followed the link to the smart light and ordered it. 👍 Thanks for your in depth look. I am huge into the Google Home environment and this looks like a great addition.

Not yet, but it's a good video idea!To answer your question: I would start with probably a few light strips, (Mount behind your desk or TV) Then maybe some sort of RGB lamp, and a star projector. You could also consider a neon sign. Govee makes a lot of great products, if I was starting from scratch again I would go with them! I've also made this video (it's more for romantic lighting) but it does show a space transformed by lighting and offer some inspiration from start to finish: kzread.info/dash/bejne/Z51p17uyYduuqpc.html

No, it's not a video projector like that, all the effects and the nebula projection is inbuilt.

Hey Julian, this was a good review. I literally only just bought the Bliss about 3 weeks ago.... But if I'm honest I'm happier with this one I think than I would be with your smart one. Because what I've done to my one is plugged it into a smart outlet so I can switch it off via voice command, but I also stuck a little bit of clear cellotape over the on-off button so I don't have to press it to come on, the smart command works because it's always pressed on if you get what I mean 😅 (I'm not clever I just come up with random ideas and sometimes they work 😂😂) Anyway cheers for the vid chap, still here and I think I will be for the foreseeable future. Hope everything's calming down somewhat. All the best.

Hey Tidgy! Thanks as always for watching and commenting! I didn't know if you taped the power button on the Blisslights that would work, will have to try it out on mine! I had been wondering how to "hack it" sort of to plug it into a smart outlet! Anyhow, this projector does have some defining differences with the smart features such as changing the colors and brightness, and I think I prefer the laser patterns on this version vs. the Blisslights but both are great units! I'm asking because I found one from Panamalar on the German Amazon site which is quite alot cheaper but seems to do the same. Let me know what you think.

Love the video, I just got mine today! I’m going through videos because my projector is always stuck in the static image 😅 idk if you would have any advice but I’ve contacted the company so hopefully it workouts 🙌

Thanks for watching! You've tried using the app correct? Maybe the something with the motor is wrong. Try to get a replacement, or return if from Amazon!

Hey from the GTA here too! This projector doesnt have a lot of reviews on Amazon Canada, how is it holding up? I've been watching reviews from Sega's Flux to the DS1 and now this 😩

Hey neighbor form the GTA! Holding up well, I have 3 of them now actually lol, the worldwide link in the description is the specific supplier I got mine from, but they should all be relatively the exact same unit across all the links.

Can you do a review of the "can you imagine: star projector"? Its something I saw in Spencer's like over 10 years ago, and its the only star projector I've seen where there aren't stars all moving together in the same direction so the stars are more randomized.

I'd love to cover that star projector, but the problem is it's hard to find these days and not easily accessible for the general public!

So which one to buy.

Hi there, great video. Was just wondering if the rhythmic colour change of the lights (matching the music) can be disabled? Or if setting a 'scene' disables that feature. My only concern is that the projector will start flashing while listening to music and disrupt the mood of the room. Thanks!

The smart home projector has no music reactivity mode. Perhaps your referring to one of the star projectors in my other videos?

@@joshkim738 Yea for sure. The music mode is just that, an optional mode you can enable or disable.

Thanks for your review ! I ordered mine and it came in today. But My lasers/stars are green and I couldn’t find on your video how I would change them to white like yours :) do you know if there’s an option for it ?

My stars are green as well! There is no laser star projector that exists with white lasers.

@@FUTURESPACECOLLECTIVE oh I didn’t even know about that how cool!The green blends beautifully anyway but is also easily less prominent when I turn down the intensity. thank you again. I’m SO incredibly happy with my purchase and would not have found the right projector without your amazing videos ! All my friends want one now so I’ve directed them to your channel for the best in depth reviews of what’s out there 👍🏻☺️

Utipef projector has a moon. Would you recommend this smart home one, or have you tried the Utipef one?

I'm a big fan of this Smart Home one, most practical feature set I've found in a laser star projector!

Sorry if I'm late to the party, it's currently cyber monday and I'm shopping around for galaxy lights while watching your vids. Anyways, do you have a battery pack preference?

No preference really! They should all work fine as long as there putting out the 5V, 2A of power needed!

I just got this for my bf I really hope he likes it! I chose this one over the blisslights brand because I know he would prefer more color options
