Nope, just look at any largecap funds vs smallcap funds, there are periods when smallcaps dont perform and that period can last even a decade, just choose largecap or flexicap, both have decent allocation in smallcaps, avoid smallcaps mf on your own, imho

Simple trick, first check Mutual fund portfolio shares, if most of the down specific days then do lumpsum before 2 PM so you will get more units. Do this practice regularly your funds never ever will go negative.

Mid cap and large cap will be safer option . And Flexi cap me invest kro...investers ko pura independence rehta he stocks select karne ke liye . Aur lock in period nhi rehta ..matlab apki iccha ho tab nikal lo aur dusre acche performance wale share me apki amount daal dijiye .. aur returns bhi acche aayenge . Nippon flexi cap , parag parikh flexi cap etc. acche hai ..

Hi Pranjal..can you please advise about Nifty midcap 150 Tri index as most (around 75-80 percent) of active mid cap and active small cap funds have failed to beat this midcap index. Few AMC have started this index. Tracking error is within limit for 3 years.

This is mindboggling and deja vu that just last week i exited from smallcap mf completely. Holding only flexicap and elss (they already have decent smallcap allocation).

Quant small cap mutual fund is also better choice. All Quant mutual funds are on top position.
