I remember seeing Grand master Dr. He yung kimm and one of his students at the 1976 midwest open invitational kim's Academy of the Kwon do.i studied Dr. Kim's self-defense against knife attack. His slow motion demos saved my life

It was a distinct honor to train with this man. As far as the outdated comment below goes, i'll train with you and show you how outdated it is.

I seen I think it was the Grandmaster of Tae Kwon Do and two of his black belts at a tournament at Louisiana Tech University, where no Americans would go with them. The guys were literally a blur. Saw blood fly, 4 refs did not see it. One said he did, but I really doubt it. I mean they were literally blurry they were so fast.

Is there a fourth or fifth video in these series? These three covers techniques 1 to 26 ('til bhang kum sul), the more advance techniques (27 yu dan son mok sul - 50 chul sa yang sul) are not covered. And am searching for them. Reference: Hapkido II, Pocket reference manual, (1996), Dr. He-Young Kimm, Andrew Jackson College Press.

Fall or break , your choice , the falling is just to relieve the joint lock and prevent break, actually the escape , good falling is not easy

just the title alone told me, if it were true, this video would be very, very short. I think it is about 48 minutes longer than it needed to be to make the title true, for me in my opinion. However it was fun to watch. I enjoy watching all martial arts, even the ones I am not too fond of. Korean martial arts are other cultures styles, with high flashy, flippy, twisty kicks added, just to make sure it is not practical.

Nice but in the street won't be wearing pyjamas but more likely tight fitting jeans and maybe even heavy jacket making less flexibility

Hapkido is great, but you cannot force Technique to work, after practice you apply what works for the opportunity, just like judo or anything else, like taekwondo (Hapkido is like judo and taekwondo combined plus more) you fake punch to head but kick in rib, don’t be stupid

Cool looking, but terribly unpractical against someone not letting you pull the move off

They are showing proper technique. In real life you are not going to be doing these moves like a robot. You would be adding whatever is necessary to resist.
