Thanks for the video. My current rotation is Endorphin Speed 3 for Daily and Recovery runs, Nike Streaklfly for Tempo and 5K/10K races, and the Endorphin Pro 3 for the Half Marathon distance.
Easy/Recovery: Pegasus 39 Speed/Long: Endorphin Speed 2 Race: Vaporfly Next% 2 Trail: Peregrine 12
Brilliant video with lots of great insights, thanks
Everyday: Brooks Adrenaline GTS 22. They’re really stable, great tread, I find them fairly responsive. I don’t have to think about them at all while I’m running. Long road miles: NB FreshFoam 1080X. Maybe a little slower, but the wide contact on the forefoot corrects some habitual lateral roll through my stride. Trails: Brooks Caldera 5. Really enjoyed these during my first 50k trail race. Good structure and grip that made running over rocks and roots no trouble at all. No foot pain at any point during the race. This video got me really interested in the Saucony Endorphin Speed 3 and the Puma Velocity Nitro 2. I love that you bring in shoes from different perspectives and for different goals. Cheers!
Great video! Thanks 🙏
Great video. Nice to see which shoes you all enjoy running in on a regular basis. I might have to get a pair of the magic speed 2.
Daily - Asics Novablast 3 Long/Slow - Asics Glideride 3 Trail - Hoka Speedgoat 5/Saucony Xodus Ultra/Inov-8 Parkclaw G280/Inov-8 X-Talon G235 Fast - Asics Metaspeed Sky+/Saucony Endorphin Pro 3 Oh dear, I've just realised I may have a shoe addiction problem...
Daily trainer/recovery: Saucony Liberty ISO 2 Faster runs: ON Cloud-X (love these) Trail: Hoka Zinal I buy last year's shoes at 50-75% discount. I'm making a list from this video for next year's bargains!
Thank you for the great shoe content! I like heading right to the comments to read everyone’s line up. Great community.
Very nice video! I watched all of it 😁 Daily trainer - Asic Novablast 3 Easy/slow/recovery - Saucony Triumph 20 Speed/tempo/long run with any sort of race pace - Nike Vaporfly (Nike has put various colorways on sale for about $100-$120 so I happily buy them up) Race - Takumi Sen 8 (5k/10k) --- Nike Vaporfly (10k/HM) --- Nike Alphafly 1 (Marathon) Honorable mention: Fun (or when I am feeling dangerous) - Adidas Prime X, Nike Pegasus Turbo OG Not really in the currect rotation, but will use more during the fall race season - Asics Superblast

Easy recovery: Asic Novablast 3 TR Daily training: Asic Novablast 3 TR Intervals and racing: Asic Novablast 3 TR Hiking: Asic Novablast 3 TR Casual walking: Asic Novablast 3 TR .....rotation is easy if you can only afford one pair of shoes🤣

Lmao. True, and goes to show how versatile this Novablast 3 TR is if you’re truly satisfied with that as your quiver killer !
Great vid, for me: Daily/ long run: ASICS Glideride 3 Daily/ tempo: ASICS Noosa Tri 14 Road race/ intervals: Puma deviate nitro elite Trail: NB More Trail V2 Road to trail/ dog runs: ASICS Fuji lite 2 I suppose an honourable mention is the Pegasus 39. I feel like a great allrounder which I just don’t need. But still occasionally pull it out the cupboard for light trails or winter/ slippy conditions.
Daily/Easy: Ultraboost 19 Intervals/Tempo: Mizuno Wave Rebellion Pro (only done a couple of runs in them so far but love them) Long runs: NB 1500v4
I have a wide mix in my rotation: Tecton X Altra Lone Peak 6 NB Rebel V3 Hoka Clifton 8 Enjoy all of them. Was thinking of adding a cushy easy show like Nimbus 25 or maybe NB SC Trainer. Except for the Tecton X all my shoes are 2E wide. The Tecton X actually fits me well despite being offered in one width and is actually my favourite shoe of my bunch.
Great vid. Here's mine: Easy runs: Nike Tempo Next% Hard & Race runs: Puma Deviate Nitro Elite or Nike Vaporfly Next% 2 Trail lite: Nike Pegasus Trail 4 GTX Trail heavy: Hoka Speedgoat 4
Daily trainer/long run - NB V4 more Easy run/ recovery - Nike peg 39 Race day - Adizero Boston 11 (train)/ Takumi Zen 9 (race) Trail : Northface Flight Vectiv Happy sharing everyone
It will always be a mystery too me why I'm the only one who strongly dislike starting a run with dirty shoes 😅. I've got probably 5 pair of shoes in my weekly rotation, but I clean them up every Sunday. I can't picture it otherwise 🤣

Easy runs/recovery - Saucony Ride 15 (thinking of switching to Nitro 2) Daily trainer - Saucony Endorphin Speed 3 Speed/tempo/long runs - Saucony EP3 Race - EP3/Vaporfly 2
Easy: Puma Velocity Nitro 2 Tempo: Hoka Mach 4 Race: Puma Deviate Nitro Elite Trail: Nike Pegasus Trail 4
Daily trainer: Vivobarefoot Geo Racer 2 Recovery runs: Altra Rivera Speedy stuff: Altra Escalante Racer/Saucony Kinvara 13
Daily: Pegasus 39 Speed: Tempo NEXT% Race: Alphafly 1 Trail: Pegasus Trail 3
I’m a big fan of the Tecton X - I ran the full length of the Basingstoke Canal in them last month (50+k) in around 4h30 - totally comfortable and quickish. I’m about 250 miles in now, still good. Mega discounts on the original shoe now (I think £75 at Sports Shoes?!).
- mine - easy: solarboost4/saucony ride 15 tempo or intervals: adios 6/ sl20 race: adizero pro / Next%2 spikes: avanti Trail slow/long: nike zegama Trail short: Terrex speed flow Not sure what I'll do today: floatride energy 4 / SL20.2
Been running in my Vivobarefoot Primus Trail II for over a year now for year round trail running and still going strong. Primus Lite III for everything else.
Slow plodder here, Haven't found a carbon shoe that I liked and is worthwhile. Current rotation is the Speed 2s for intervals and races (I race maybe 2x a year only) and for easy and long runs, Velocity 2, Adios 6, and Skechers Ride 10 (in various stages of wear).
The Nimbus 25 is UNREAL on how cushioned it is. Blown away. Only maybe NB More V4 comes close.
For the long runs I have the Saucony Xodus Ultra for shorter and faster efforts I have a pair of Peregrine 12s. Both are available at an excellent price at the moment. I got the Xodus for for an unbelievable £69.99 delivered from Get the Label.
I think I’ll be getting that MagicSPEED 2 once my latest Endorphin Speed 2s are run out - after seeing the fit on Nick’s pair I’ve been keeping away from the ES3
this really shows how shoes are very personal, there was huge range of different shoes in here
I think if I had to pare my shoe collection down to 3 or 4 shoes it would be: Recovery: Asics Novablast 3 Easy/Long: Hoka Mach 5 Interval/Tempo: NB Rebel v3 Race: Puma Deviate Nitro Elite 2 +Trail: New Balance Hierro v7 That's most of the shoes I find myself reaching for most of the time. I also like Nick's Puma Velocity Nitro 2, but just pipped by the Mach 5 these days.
Recovery / daily run @ 4:15 - 4:30 min per KM (when i feel good 4:05 per km)= Asics Novablast 3 medium temp / long run @ 4:05 - 4:15 min per km = Nike Fly 4 or SAUCONY ENDORPHIN PRO 3 HEREN. Fast @ 3:45 -4:05 min per KM = Nike tempo next % note minimal rundistance = 10 km per session
Easy day Triumph 20. Short speed Adios Takumi Sen 8. Tempo to really anything Speed 3 and Marathon Endorphin Pro 3. I’ve never run in a puma shoe and I’m really itching to get one. Maybe the deviate nitro.
I've only ever owned a pair of Pegasus 38's (Yes I just started running!) but my Invincible 3s arrive today :D
Recovery: New Balance More V4 Tempo + Speed: Saucony Endorphin 2 Daily: Hoka Mach 5 and ASICS Novablast 3 Trail: Saucony Peregrine 12 GTX Testing the NB3 right now. Might return them if I can’t fit it into my rotation. Any suggestions?
Asics novablast 3 Endorphin speed 3 Rebel v3 Pro 3
My Current rotation Endorphin Speed 2 - Intervals, Hills, Tempo Kinvara 13 - Short Easy/recoveries More V3 - long easy Tecton X - general off-road + races Vaporfly 2 - race day I’ve only had the Vaporfly 2 for a couple of months and I’m finding it is the best for me. I’ve got the Paris Marathon coming up which I now don’t know whether to use EP3 or Vaporfly 2 for.

I've used Next%2 for 2 Marathons and they were great. Only thing for me is that they make me run slightly more on my forefoot that other shoes, which is good but puts extra pressure on my calves, which ache towards the end of the Mara
Great video 👍, Daily/Recovery NB V4, which replaced my puma velocity nitro 2, Saucony speed 3 for marathon paced long runs (up to 22 miles) and recently ran Brighton 1/2 in, Track night (5k/10k also) Takumi Sen 8, Race Day -for Marathon coming up Saucony Pro 3 and for trails Brooks Caldera 6.

Yes I would say well cushioned, but not squishy if you know what I mean, i find them a little heavy on foot, which in a way is good thing as they a great for zone 2 easy and recovery run efforts, I really do like the shoes, but I kinda loved my puma velocity nitro 2s which they replaced and for £50.00 now are a bargain

@@waterfallstudios5746 I have the More v3 and like them for the exact same reason, great for zone 2 and recovery runs. I was also lucky enough to pick up a couple pairs of Puma Velocity Nitro 1 for a ridiculous $60 AUD (approx £34) last year. I have no idea why they were so cheap and have not seen them that cheap since. As far as bang for the buck those Puma shoes at that price point top the list.
Recovery/Slow day: more v4 Speed: Takumi sen 8 Daily: splitting between Novablast 3 and SC trainer Race day: Vaporfly
I have invincible run 1 or 2 ( hate the 3ed version) as my easy day trainer I use the speed 3 as my speed shoe and vaporfly 2 as my racing opinion the alphafly v1 for my long runs and longer races and tecton x as my trail option although I don't do much trail running
The information you provided is correct. This is what I was looking for in running shoes!
I’ll happily be the Nike Fanboy: Daily/Speed Work: Pegasus Next Nature. Been pleasantly surprised with this as a humble daily trainer! Recovery/Long Run: Invincible Run 2 Rainy/Snowy + Trail Days: Peg 4 GTX Trying the AF 2 soon, but the Vaporfly 2 has been a delight to run in when really pushing myself for PBs. Something about the Nike shoes that really makes me enjoy the spirit of running if that makes sense 😄

I just got Nike Pegasus nature on sale over hear in the states . I too watched some negative reviews but am pleasantly surprised. It is a nice daily trainer ; good to get away from a max cushion shoe which may not be good to use all the time . The attached tongue makes it slightly hard to get in and out of but great shoe that I think got a lot of negative reviews for not being like the originals. Hardly notice all the recycled content .
I’m in love with the Nike invincible 3’s. I tried them on in a run4it store and it fit like a glove. I injured my knee a couple of years ago and whenever it flares up, I run in my Nikes and it makes the discomfort disappear. So comfortable and I can’t definitely feel them taking pressure off of my joints. I even use them as a recovery aid after doing runs that have hurt my feet and legs, they really help, I pop them on and walk around the house and they soothe my feet nicely. Maybe not the best shoes for people used to running as you can get better performance from other shoes and might not need as much cushioning, but for beginners or people recovering from injuries, they are a magical experience!
Sorry, could somebody please summarise everybody's picks? I keep forgetting what previous people picked as I have had to watch this over several days. Thank you for the video.
Daily trainer - hoka Mach 5, race shoe - endorphin pro. Looking for a new daily trainer and tempo shoe. I like the Mach 5 but was wondering about either the Mach X or the ASICS super blast to add to my rotation. I'm trying out the hoka rocket x 2 which is OK but not as comfortable as the endorphin pro
Can you please review some Newton shoes? Thanks!
If you guys could get some lapel mics for a couple of ya and maybe record in a room with either foam or tapestries on the wall would really really really help. It sounds like a FaceTime video in a bathroom or shower. I think it would take the channel to the next level if you improved the sound quality.
Hi, would anyone be able to recommend a good shoe for sprint training and the occasional 1-2miler?
To test hicking boots , you need to wear it on off trails , different terrains and poss through water and Rocky terrain . If it is shanked then it is beneficial with heavy pack use at 60 pound + .

@yijuntey
Жыл бұрын
I used to only run in one pair of shoes but that was before i took anything seriously, just ran like once or twice a week. But ever since i started training more seriously and chased those PBs, i found that having a rotation of at least 2-3 shoes makes a huge difference. One reason is that the shoes will last a bit longer if u rotate between them, but more importantly, different shoes serves different purposes. Lighter and bouncier shoes makes u run so much faster with less energy, whilst the heavier and more cushioned ones gives ur foot more protection for those longer/slower runs, and yes u can actually feel a difference. Hopefully this helps explain some stuff hahah

I don’t think humans were meant to run. Majority of running shoes reviews that I watch, the KZreadr will say they are currently injured or currently coming back from an injury.
@aliasgharkhoyee9501

Injuries are not unique to running. Are humans not meant to do anything that can cause injuries? Jobs, hobbies, etc. are all risky, so best to stay home? I'd say that injury risk is minimal when you have good form, listen to your body (stop when you feel anything wrong), and use good gear for extra safety.
