Nothing like a February filled with flirtatious film fighting. To qualify for this list I had to narrow it down to fight scenes that evoked some degree of sexual tension between the on-screen characters. Both fighters have to be mutually interested in one another or at least foreshadow a reciprocation of love later on in the narrative. That excludes all those countless old school kung fu flicks where some thirsty borderline predatory guy starts combatively harassing another girl. There also needs to be more technically choreographed elaborate martial arts rather than brief brawls or short simplified martial movements. Also, there’s plenty of fight sequences out there where one character is fighting to defend their loved one against a large group of attackers or both lovers are taking on a whole horde of henchmen together so for the sake of distinctness I left those out. Feel free to argue against whether or not the ones I chose even fit my own criteria because they might not. Maybe I should’ve just called this a compilation of sexual tension based fight scenes instead….I’ve seen hundreds of martial arts action movies and thousands upon thousands of fight scenes in general so I might’ve forgotten a few good ones that I’ve already watched myself so let me know any I could’ve missed.
