    The Max 4s has been the most durable RC I've ever owned. I did sell it though because I'm into the bigger rigs like the xmaxx and Outcast 8s. My opinion even before I watch. The box stock Kraton 6s v4 broke on me many times and even after upgrades like the M2C chassis. The bulkheads break easily on a bad jump, the ball joints would pop out during almost every run and the wing mount would break easily. My Outcast 8s is way more fun and DURABLE. I had a granite BLX 4x4 brushless and that was very durable too. But sold it and went bigger. Thanks for the video.

    I have a xmaxx and a maxx and both get heavily abused. I am blown away with what they take. The maxx has tires on it almost as big as the xmaxx tires and has the widemaxx kit along with 17 mm extensions. It cogs the motor on hills from a dead stop but the truck handles the extra weight and that's with chunks gone out of the lower arms from the big tires rubbing a hole in them. I do 6 to 7 backflips off a tree and do not care how it lands, it just keeps going. I recommend getting the maxx with widemaxx kit and the metal axles. It does not disappoint. I like the xmaxx for durability and the size also, parts are so cheap I almost have a extra of every part if not two but have replaced hardly any. Good video

    Interesting comparison! I can't argue with the durability of the Maxx, it's tough as nails. I'm a little surprised you weighted durability so heavily to determine the winner. Unless you have good throttle control or go with the wide Maxx kit it will flip over frequently. And that's even with your tuning 😉 I don't own a Granite, but I do have a BRCC and I would go with the Kraton 1, Maxx 2, Granite 3 IMO

  • @RazorRC

    @RazorRC

    3 жыл бұрын

    For sure, it depends a lot on where you drive. If I drove at a skate park bowl I'd go with the Granite #1 because it's small and nimble and you can't go that fast and it's got to survive really hard hits. On grass or the street, probably the Kraton because the flat ground stability is important. But I drive mostly at the BMX park on dirt, which is a mix of offroad handling and big jumps. Handling is decent with the Maxx on dirt and durability is important because you're not getting clean, straight jumps. So you often come off the battered jumps pretty crooked. The Kraton is the most fun though, because it's the fastest and most capable. Thanks for stopping by, and really these are all good trucks, so you can't go wrong with any of them!

    I trashed my exb and i only broke a rpm wing mount and bended one shock shaft on a one tire landing. Take note its a good idea to boil any plastic a arm people have been snapping critical plastic part like glass. Once boiled they become more flexible almost like rpm.i have clipped trees with one tire and the pivot balls never poped out i only slightly bended the steering 7075 plate. Took a big hit to bend that. Im getting my first mojave my first 1/7 scale in a few days for my bday and i will do exactly what i did to my exb kraton. Boiling every arm, body posts and maybe the hubs.

I was happy with my purchase but it bent and broke parts quickly despite being relatively tough. I started upgrading and replacing parts. 20 or 30 here. New motor, esc, reciever/ remote, almost impossible to find pinion and spur gears. Learned a lot in a short time but once i got to the 500$ range on something that should've been cheap i only kept wondering. After much research yeah.. i should've just bought a traxxas. I agree with most peoples complaints about Traxxas prices. When you compare components between a Traxxas and a competitor you are left wondering what is all that extra money paying for. I used to swear I'd never own a Traxxas. Over time and after reluctantly buying a Traxxas I realized exactly what that extra money is paying for. Parts availability and help accessibility does indeed have value. I contacted Traxxes for help in setting up telemetry options and had no problem at all getting someone at Traxxas to help me. Compare that to the times I've contacted other companies and gotten crickets. Even in one of Razor RC's videos he mentions reaching out to Team Associated and he never heard back. Also I can go to any of my local shops and get almost any and every part needed. Yeah, I still cringe at the prices but its nice not stressing out about the possibility of breaking something because I know I can get parts so easily. That makes bash sessions so much more enjoyable and stress free. I bash to relieve stress and forget my worries.

    You should put a 6s capable setup in the Maxx. Then come back with the Maxx and EXB. Kind of unfair to put the EXB at the bottom, it has more power output, it’s heavier meaning a bigger bullet does a lot more damage. So I’d like to see the top 1st and 2nd when you come back with the Maxx having a similar setup as the EXB. As well as bashing exactly the same one after the other?

But even if he is comparing with mod, for me myself, durability i will still slightly give it to the maxx, caz I own a 1/3 mod 6s maxx and a almost upgraded outcast 6s, on the first jump on the outcast is carnage(mid height rear landing), It have the same hit and height that my maxx aways have, and it broken 3 parts and lost a dog bone(can't find the driveshaft)💸 , but if that's my maxx it can keep taking that hit over and over again. So now I know, I need to be very careful on control my suit up outcast in the air, try not to make mistakes, but if I want to free up my mind with out thinking that day, I will use my maxx.

    That sounds bullshit. The maxx is easily the most durable rc on the planet. The driveshafts don't break that easily. They are actually quite strong. The chassis slap isn't that big of a deal and you can fix it by tuning your suspension. With an xmaxx you have to spend several hundred on it to make it half as durable as the maxx. Pinion gear, spur gear, center driveshaft, caster blocks, esc, ect. If you want to make it actually fun to drive then you have to buy a better motor and gear it up like crazy because it's slow as fuck.

    No offense but at this point you must have some really personal reason to not review the Redcat MT10E. I saw that you ' dont't like what you see' about it. No offense and I really mean it, but these videos are summaries of your multiple reviews, would really appreciate if you reviewed that Redcat instead. It's a rebrand of Team Magic and I bet it would outperform the Granite

    Well, the reasons are: no center diff/slipper, it’s older and not many people are interested in it, RC driver did a review and it wasn’t that positive, and it’s $300 + another $50 if you want a center diff.

    @@cdarknessfalls26 love, it. When faced with opinions that differ from your own, double down and get defensive. I own associated, arrma, hobao, losi, and traxxas. I'm not a fanboy of brands but specific models. Arrmas 3s line is killer. I just posted some big rock running footage today lol.

    Yeah crazy price for a truck with 12mm axles. Their solution to run big tires is use 17mm adaptors? Lol. Just get the Kraton 6s.
