Knowing they do not have stickers screams so much "theme upcoming". Because this is not limited to anything it is their own IP. They could easily make sets like a new ship, perhaps a winter hunting hut with a piece of mountain or cave with a bear. Perhaps a ship building place. And if they launched a new castle theme they could be the "enemy" for that castle faction... options options...

Initially I didn't think I might get the set, unfortunately I'm also a fan of Japanese stuff and aviation, so there is a lot to choose from right now. The 10305 castle I had to do because of my history with 6080 and the children's room rug Black Falcons siege campaigns in the 80s.😉 But the Viking village looks so good and has so many great details, it's really convincing.

Honestly I think this set is turning a lot of heads and making many check bank accounts 😂

There are expansion modules for the Eldorado Fortress on Rebrickable, and so I'm hoping there will be expansion modules for this set also put on Rebrickable.

Im so mad going back realised what a mistake i done by selling my vikings ship and some fantasy era sets back in 2013.Even tho the money went into other castle sets and pieces that are a big part of my collection now i still feel a sense of guilt knowing that i couldve had them to this day

Man, this might just be up there with the 90th castle and new el dorado. The modular/clipping systems allow a ton of MoC - ability, and they cram stuff into the base area for secrets and play features. 130 is a steal, this is an easy 2x of purchase. Got the 3 in 1 right as this was announced. Hope you do a short of all the viking CMFs sometime soon! (I think there's 3?)

I love that the water is dark azure instead of medium azure like in Eldorado, it make the scene feel colder. The details in this are amazing!

I will be buying this set on day one... and i will buy another one to get is for making medieval houses in my kingdom. There the perfect size and im going to moc it.... im loving it!

Love the design of the set, I got the entire line of Viking sets from back in the day. I believe the smaller vessel will look best next to this set. Just to have some boat with it. The big vessel will dwarf the set. And I hate drowning the star of the show. I will keep the big ship closer to the fortress. And see how I play it out with everything. As for buying sets, I got the 99euro christmas set to get the 2 VIP packs. The Halloween and the pirate one. I have to see what I do for the pirate GWP. Because I want it. But the Majisto is a must have. So I will bit my nails and hold off getting this set just to get closer to the threshold for the Majisto GWP. I still have to get the christmas set of last year so I could get that also.

Yes, the Vikings didn't use horned helms. BUT, it's Lego. Take the horns off if you like, or leave them on! That's the beauty of Lego! Also, this set will go nicely as an opposing group to the Lion Knight's Castle. A classic battle between Western Europeans and Danish warlords! UPDATE: The minifigs are AWESOME!

It's going hard to resist this set for a month- I know I want that Majisto GWP set in november, but assuming I do, I could push back one of the larger Dreamzzz set towards that (the treehouse or the bus- ship) or some of the Monkie Kid sets- only time will tell.

I think I'll wait and combine it with my bricks and pieces order for lion knights/crusaders army to get the GWP

I'm definitely planning to pick this one up when the majisto gwp goes live. The viking lamellar torso is a great basis for a medieval Roman minifigure, btw. Swap out the arms and legs with dark red (I like the dual-molded dark red and black legs) and use the spectacle spangenhelm (which this set includes one). I wonder how well the new dark blue printed legs will go with the crown knight torsos. I've been using the lion knight and black falcon legs for most of my older castle torsos and am optimistic that the dark blue legs will be similarly useful.

I was really on the fence about the viking ship until I bought it. I prefer more playsets than full scale builds but it was interesting and the minifigs were cool. I too like that these new minifigs have a mix of helmets/headgear. I like the new leg printing and the shields. I like the price point alot, not just for cheaper but they tend to be better when smaller sets. Big sets seem to be like Lego tried to hard to beef it up. I'd rather have smaller price points with fantastic builds and then I'll just buy 2 sets of it.

I don't want to be a downer but enough people just aren't talking about the fact that this set is 170 EUROS is MULTIPLE European countries. That's 190$ US and is no longer a "steal". I'm so mad at TLG now, this is the most insanely unfair set of all time, and all this time everyone online is just gushing about that 130$. Crunched together but I love it the original looks just as good as this cause it's more serious....... still there's another I love better than the two combined it has a house and a small market on the inside but the chieftain house is a tad small still its more like a viking settlement I wish I was a master on customize the set but I'd probably have to ask someone to help add what I like and buy accessories for the figures on brickwarriors this set I hope to get this October ugh and Eldorado fortress I'm still waiting on cause I don't have the money one day I will get them though

Did the Knights and Vikings exist at the same time in real life? If so did they ever cross paths and had war?

They sort of did. My history in that area is a bit shaky. But in shows like the last kingdom, Vikings attacked what would be known as England, and there were knights but early versions of them. Some one can correct me if I’m wrong.

@@hanzocloud certainly! To my understanding the vikings branched off in different directions, some being less of a sea faring culture and becoming land locked and that influenced the culture and turned them into normans, but I am no historian.
