I've had a Karcher K7 Compact for a year or so now. It's perfect for my needs. The smaller size (compared to bigger karchers) is perfect for my hut and it's more than ample for cleaning the car, snow foaming it and power washing the driveway and path. Might not suit a professional but for a keen detailer looking after a few cars and garden work it's perfect. Great video again mate 👍

I've got a K2 and i'm happy with it. I love how tiny and light it is for storage and carrying around. It does foaming well with a good lance, and powerful enough to blast muck off well. Must of all i just like it for that small size though, as i have to store it in my house currently.

I received my pressure washer kzread.infoUgkxfQauTxLT0JLSvqkq10rD79TU4k0Vz8zP over the weekend and decided to wait for the sun to come out before firing it up. Was needed to clean the deck. Our last pressure washer broke a couple of seasons ago, and I just hadn't replaced it yet. This one had great comments, so here we are. It was easy to assemble, and the trigger wand is comfortable and easy to hold for long periods of time. The pressure washer worked great and made quick work of the "TN North side algae" that inevitably grows every year. I also washed all of the deck furniture while I was at it... it all looks great! So far I am happy with this purchase. I plan to climb the ladder to wash siding over the next couple of days, will update if I have anything else to add after that!

  • @TerrificFlow

From a pressure washer dealer and repair technician, if you are really going to use your machine, for more than 45min continuous, don't get any Karcher home line, even the k7 which has been downgraded on the new versions with a lot of plastic parts. These are throw away machines, outside of warranty you will not be able to repair it whatsoever at a sensible price. Basicaly as expensive to repair as to buy a new one. High end brands Comet, AR blue or Kranzle are the best machines in terms of power/flow/build quality: Brass pump, decent hoes (might make sense to upgrade the gun with swivel to avoid it from coiling up). Entry levels, i think Nilfisk is probably the best bet though i haven't own one...

Nice work Mat, good comparisons. Nilfisk 135.1i with the patio brush attachment for me, got it for £125 in the sale from Argos last November. Looking at the prices here it was a bargain and I'm very happy with it. I read lots of reviews and was put off by the amount of people who said their Karchers broke after a short period of time. Also people recommended the Nilfisk due to the metal internals as you mentioned. Edit: Just checked and the same as I have is £200 at the moment 😁

Just had my second Nilfrisk fail. Briefly went in the house to get some ear plugs. Came out and the hosepipe had come off the the pressure washer due to the hose nozzle getting really hot and the pump was making a high pitches wurring noise. Couldn't get it going again when I connected the hose back up. Seems like something is spinning in the motor but nothing is pumping any water. My other first pressure washer failure I think is an unloader problem. Briefly runs for about one second when you first switch it on. Then it cuts out. Considering the Kranzle as I've got no faith in Karcher or Nilfrisk. Seem to magically break outside of warranty and not really servicable for the home user.

I dragged my c110 around the car like a stubborn puppy for years until I finally upgraded to the e145 when amazon had it for £210 (£200 at clean store now.) the difference is night and day, there's a nice weight to the e145 so it doesn't want to topple over, its got a 9 meter hose so i don't have to take it for a walk round the motor, it just sits in the garage and the handy on board hose reel unwinds and then winds back up again nice n tidy, there's a dedicated hook for the mains cable so there's non of the loop the loop cable game to play, the wand storage clicks neatly into place and the entire thing comes ready built no assembly necessary. its also much quieter and overall such a better machine, wish I would have upgraded years ago

The K2 has 3 pressure settings the last being for patio cleaning.. In your review you say it is OK for using on cars but does this mean you can use it on full power to clean cars ie the patio setting? I have one that I use for a spare but find that set to the middle setting which is dedicated for car use I find that the pressure isn't very good..

My K2 packed up after about 5 years of abuse. It died after I cleaned the path on a hot summers day. Had no idea it was air cooled. oops! I saw the K4 as the best all rounder with the patio leaner making a decent under carriage washer. Even with the full control option, the preasure is still inconsistant from the vario lance, especially if you just touch the damn thing. A 1/4 inch QR stubby lance is the best thing i ever bought. Way more, and consistent pressure and easy to handle round the wheel arches :)

Been Kärcher all the way and currently have a k4 but the one MAJOR bug bare i have with them is the cheap plastic high pressure hose! If it doesn’t try and break ya ankle it gets caught under the wheels argh! Hate it! Other issue I find with the k4 is the retaining clip that connects the hose to the machine that files out a lot. Maybe I’m fussy because I play with a karcher hds 7/10 m at work 😂

It feels and acts like a quality piece of kit and I make sure I remove and empty the hoses and drain off any residual water after each use to help maintain it. One more thing to consider is if it will draw from a water tank or if it needs mains pressure. I have my Kranzle 1152TST in my van connected to my 280 litre tank. I then feed water into the tank, if the customer has an outdoor tap, rather than straight into the machine. That means I don't have to worry about the customer's water pressure or if they decide to put the washing machine on or have a shower (I've had that happen a few times in the past) while I'm washing their car.

I'm sure Alan @ AMDetails also uses a K4 and I think Pan the Organiser has a K1152TST. Karcher now have compact models which are much smaller (same spec) than the older full size units.

How does that translate into using any of those Kranzle's for the same jobs as I use the Karcher for? I can't get round how you'd be able to lug 30-40kg around a patio or around a car...? I have 2 cars and a fair amount of paving and concrete in the garden and driveway, maybe weekly/biweekly car washes depending on car use and driving weather. It's their best non-commercial pressure washer and I just want the biggest bang for my 500 bucks. Any thoughts as compared to K7 or Ava P80 or entry level Kränzle at current pricing (K7 currently over 500 squid)?

(i have stubby on my k4). kranzle is too expensive really and spec goes down dramatically at equal price points. so i am leaning towards a nilfisk premium180 or ava p80. these seem comparable with k7 with less gimmicks and, some say, better build though not seen any evidence of this.

Spec on paper might go down, but if yo compare a Kränzle 12/130 to a Kärcher K7 which are both 3kw machines, I promise you, what actually comes out of that hose, is far from equal. That Kränzle will absolutely wipe the floor with the K7. Those Kärcher specs are nothing but fluff. And a 10/122 will easily hang with the K7 as well.

It's not just you that have had problems with Karcher. Many witness quality issues at least on later madells. I thought Karcher was the best when it comes to reliability. I've had a Karcher before, but for the last ten years I've had a Nilfisk C110. It has been a very handy pressure washer, but I need a more powerful pressure washer and with a longer high pressure hose. Another thing that I wanted was a short gun in which you can connect nozzles or a foam cannon directly to the gun. All the well-known big brands have a long gun and also a quite long lance. The only pressure washer that have a short gun is the Norwegian AVA. All their models comes with a short gun. It's optional if you want to connect the telescope lance to the gun or just the nozzles or foam cannon directly to the short gun. The short gun makes it much easier to handle. For instance when cleaning in tight spaces like the wheel house etc. Best is when using the foam cannon directly on the short gun. Check it out kzread.info/dash/bejne/jGyYmtmBqqvQfZc.html

@@82HEADCASE - I've only good things to say about my Nilfisk. When I think of it, it's actually 12 years(!) Haven't had any problems. Since you've already bought the 140, you can always buy a short handle if needed. Since I bought a foam cannon I'm addicted. It's such good fun that I've even washed my neighbors cars. : ) Now when you have such a powerful pressure washer I recommend you to start detailing. Amazon have full brass foam cannons for under 50 bucks. Using a foam cannon, you'll find out the benefits with a short gun. The only reason I didn't buy a Nilfisk was that you can't connect accessories directly to the gun. I don't know why, but you have to connect the lance first and then the nozzles or foam cannon. I've actually pointed this out to Nilfisk : ) We'll see if they'll manufacture an adapter that allows you to connect accessories directly to the gun. Cheers !!!

Hi mate Good video. But i thought you were gonna compare the karcher professional range.... www.kaercher.com/uk/professional/professional-online-shop.html to the kranzle range and that would be a like for like comparrission plus karcher have a vast range of hot and cold and big and small and static and mobile machines. You only reviewed the domestic range. Thanks again

I use a K4 full control and if I knew at the time of purchase I wouldn't have gone with it. It took 3 machines to find one wasn't faulty. In the end I got an e mail from Karcher with instructions for use which seems to say roll up a trouser leg, face North, kill a grandmother, kiss a goat (that might be the other way around) I find nice to stiff.

Hi ,I think the main question ,is the more expensive machine, going to do a better job ,I think probably not ,the cost is more to do with build quality, parts inside, and hoses connectors, etc ,and most of all how long the machine is going to last , saying that you could almost buy 10 karcher k2 for the price of the top range kranzle , and also ,most people want a cheap and cheerful machine, easy push together fittings ,and easy to adapt to your needs ,let’s face it , all they do is pressurise water .

Buy an entry level kranzle, better than any other brand around, brass pump rather than aluminium, buy it once and you'll not be buying another a year or two later down the line. Kranzle k 1050 p £336 online 👍

You should have commented on the Nilfisk 180 premium, it is a replacement for the 145.5, which would be comparable to the Karcher K7
