Tikka T1x rimfire rifles are designed for small game hunting and training. T1x shares the same mindset, it has to be accurate in every situation and under every circumstance like its bigger sibling T3x.
KEY BENEFITS
Silent prey - silent hunter. Comfortable shooting with less noise, compared to centerfire rifles.
Be one with your T1x. Minimized recoil gives you the perfect moment to fire.
There are no shortcuts to the top. It's just about the number of repetitions. T1x offers cost-efficient platform for practising and hunting.
Security brings certainty, two-position safety, blocking both the trigger and bolt handle. Clear indicators for safety and firing pin status.

Good video. I have both rifles and a Belgara, the CZ 457 MTR with the correct ammo, can shoot 1 moa at 150 yards all day long. But the Tikka is not that far behind, in summary my Tikka is in my opinion the best rifle I have for the money.

Good comparison video you put together. I customized a CZ455 that still runs as my main .22 The Area 419 rail is almost a necessity as there are very few others that fit the rifle, but there are a couple things to keep in mind. 40 MOA elevation may be a lot more than many cheaper scopes offer travel for.. you will want to verify your scope has enough internal adjustment. Second the bubble level does not agree with my scope or my MDT send it digital level. When both of the others are leveled the bubble in the 419's window is exactly touching the left line. About the trigger.. with the 455 i was extremely lucky to find a "flyweight" trigger from CZ which went out of production long ago. To me the original trigger had excess takeup and felt gritty. One of the main reasons I am holding back from a 457 is the lack of aftermarket trigger groupings - what are guys running in them? I subscribed to your channel. We need more Canadian firearms channels - it gets old really fast seeing suppressors on the rifles in all of the American ones!

In my local club match, it's like 8 out of 10 shooters using the CZ 457 Varmint or MTR with a factory barrel. They are doing very well on every stage. But at the end of the day, the medal only belongs to the rest two Tikka guy who changed their barrel and chassis. I'm not saying anything bad to CZ, I have a 457Varmint and I love it. But I would definitely someday modify a tikka to give it a shot.

Little unfair since the T1 doesn't have a match barrel. The comparison should only be against the regular 457 American in a beech stock. The T1 is also not aimed for this, but does very well with it. I shoot 0.3xx at 50y with it. I also make cheek risers and mag bases for the t1. Is this something you'd like to stock?

I'd Love to see some Anschutz 1710's and 1712's which are match 54 Actions. I really think that there isn't a lot to be gained in regards to accurate data when only two rifles are compared? If the same comparison was made with two different rifles, the Tikka may come out ahead in accuracy? Everyone knows that you can have a "hummer barrel" and a "dog" even with the same manufacturer.

Coming from a non biased custom gun builder, I disagree with this not being fair. The Tikka T1X from from expirence uses a better barrel and chamber than that of a standard CZ457. Though the price points are different, you can easily swap the T1x into a Bravo or XRS stock for the same price as a MTR. In regards to accuracy, it's fair to compare the T1x to the MTR match barrel. They are both great options, but the CZ457 has better aftermarket support and I'm able to build barrels up to a 1.100" diameter contour. The T1X has a hooded receiver, thus limited to just under 1in diameter The problem with the CZ457 MTR is that theirs a huge performance band difference between one MTR vs another. While the T1x will typically perform the same as the others

You are comparing rifles in which the CZ is nearly an extra 40% more of purchase price versus the Tikka so I would assume it does shoot better. Tikka T1x Cost $829 versus CZ 457 MTR cost of $1149 current day. I wouldn't call the Tikka MTR a precision rifle. Even Tikka do not advertise it as such, If you were to look at a true Tikka Precision rifle you should compare with the Tikka UPR. Overall i really enjoy your content but this is comparing apples to oranges.

Its laughable to call the Tikka a "precision" rifle. Now, if they made one like a CTR, I'd buy it. In order for it to even be competitive, it should have a longer heavier barrel, and it should be in a better stock. The CZ 457 isn't the perfect performer either. They are known for getting random fliers. Hell, my Winchester 52 sporter shoots better on a consistent basis, than either of these rifles. If I were looking for a better option for a "precision" rifle, I'd be looking at a Savage target rifle, like the FVT.

Stop short-stroking both actions. Really terrible technique. The MTR vs the T1X is not apples to apples at all. I could care less what the average of 21 different types of ammo shows. Give me 10 round groups of the best 2-3 ammo each shoots. The T1X bone stock is not good for PRS type shooting. I typically enjoy most of your content. This is rubbish. The Tikka goes for $625. The MTR is $900. I could easily spend $200 to make the T1X shoot as well in any PRS match.
