I have an 11 year old Pocket Bully, named Deuce. Deuce came to me as a retired male breeder, when he was 7 years old. I've had other pit/bully type breeds. Deuce is the reason I've fallen in love with Pocket Bully's and now I help rescue/rehome them from breeding retirement. They are a treasure ❤

Making them wait is an excellent way to address and eliminate lack of impulse control.

They bring tears to my eyes they are just drop dead gorgeous they are so beautiful beautiful dogs 🥰❤️😍

Try shelters and rescue groups , I found some in Florida , Texas and Michigan. I live in Ohio so it's a quite of a expensive fir me to fly out and back with a dog for a pet.

Amarillo is awesome. I lived there for about a year. There's a strong aroma of cow poop every now and then, when the wind is strong enough and coming from the right direction. Also not a lot of water, or greenery. But, it's a different kind of beauty in nature than what I'm used to. I could live there rent free working out of town right now, if I wanted to. I thought about it, but it would involve working with my brother, which historically hasn't ever ended well. I know you're not there anymore, but next time you're in the area you have to make the 20-30 minute drive to Canyon Tx and visit Palo Duro Canyon, the widest canyon in the country (TGC is the deepest). I used to go up there every other weekend, on several occasions consecutive weekends. It snowed on Easter while I was living up there and there was snow on the ground every mile of the trip there, from our apartment in Amarillo, except like the last 3 minutes of the drive. We got up all early and drove there, just to see snow on the canyon. I ran to an amazing man-made structure they call the lighthouse and back (6 miles), in jeans, at 225 lbs, purely on adrenaline, because all of the other people doing it made me feel like doing it. We rode horses around the canyon. Never got around to doing the zipline, but we intended to. There was also a guy we met there, who was trying to be the next Evel Knievel and jump the canyon on a rocket. He didn't end up going through with it, but I got him to sign my hat just in case. Pretty sure his name was Mad Mike. I lost the hat. The guy ended up trying to pull the stunt in the desert somewhere and died making the attempt. Good times. I need to go back sometime soon.

It can have some health issues. That’s why it is important to make sure parents are health tested. Even though health testing extinguish all possibilities it certainly diminishes them.
