Looking for where to eat in Istanbul for the best pide? Travelling Foodie Raymond Cua walked over 30 minutes to a local neighborhood with steep climbs to try one of the best places to eat Turkish flatbread pizza, one of the must-try local food in Istanbul.
At Gorele Pide Sakir Usta, artisan pide master Sakir makes all the pide from scratch. You can choose between boat-style or pizza-style pide. I tried the Kavurma Kasar Pide for 180 Turkish lira. Along with Cai (Turkish Tea) and Ayran, my total became 210TL.
This pide salonu is so local that all the diners when I visited were locals and none of the staff spoke English. I had to use Google translate to speak with them.
