I have Snapseed and think it's really great. It offers a lot of good features. My one caveat is the healing tool. It usually just distorts the area I am trying to fix.

Hi Paul, Great video, Can you tell me if the editing apps destroy the original image? am I able to change the settings back to the original should I change my mind later? Would shooting in RAW help protect the original file? Thanks

My go-to photography app is Camera+2. I’ve had the original Version since 2010 and got the second version of the app a couple of years ago. It has full manual and things like focus peaking and clipping “zebra stripes“. It has a slow shutter mode with exposures of up to 30 seconds. The editing tools are really nice, too.

Camera+ appeared in the early days of iphonography and is a real gem made by enthusiastic developers. It is a pity few people talk about it. I'm assuming that the developer doesn't put any effort into advertising.

Can you use a macro lens with Halide Mk11?

I have snapseed and LR. I love these apps. (started with snapseed rthen I began using lightroom when I heard about it) I am also an iphone user. ( iphone XS ) When I take photos I use quite a bit of time to get it just right.

Is there an app where it has custom to make the portraits look creamy smooth?

I like the HDR feature on Fotor online. Fotor app for android is OK for basic edits. I have a very good camera on my phone. It has shallow depth of field for bokeh. Sometimes you see something but you only have your phone with you, but you can still get the shot.

I want to find an app for browsing and sharing photos. I hate that Instagram is mainly focusing on video content now.

To me, the changes made by the ambiance setting is what the dehaze does in other programs.

There is no perfect camera app, there are only perfect camera apps. Mine is Camera+ 2 (or Camera+: Pro, whatever they’re calling it this week). It went from being a handy editing tool to a thoroughly capable camera app. It addresses the issue that it’s simpler to just be a point-and-shoot user by providing an easy entry into manual photography and one-tap edits as well as more involved editing tools. My favorite used to be 645 Pro which was like Hipstamatic; it featured simulations of a dozen different color and black-and-white films as well as a bunch of color correction “filters” you chose before shooting. But that app is defunct. Healing in Snapseed is valuable, perspective correction in the iOS Photos app is handy.

Sorry I have to correct you in Halide Mark 2 App when in manual mode you can't adjust the focus after doing ISO & shutter speed adjustments ! Well yes you can but you loose your settings which has been adjusted!!! You can reset the focus only manually on manual setting so not loosing your settings on ISO or shutter speed! This is the reason I am not using this App anymore, stupid thing !!??
